the thing i dont get about tony bananas is that he was rich as hell he was worth about 80 million dollars living the good life but still he wasnt cetified he was dooing very well under angelo bruno!! but he wanted to be boss what an asshole!!
@serveandcollectable yep! that's GREED for you...and he was so hungry to be boss and was a victim of his own wishful thinking...he was an experienced wiseguy but didnt realize he was being played by funzi tieri...he didn't confrim that he had permission, he just took it for granted...and talk about betrayal, he became a rich man under bruno's thumb...where's the loyalty?
frank funzi tieri pulled off a double cross machiavelli would be proud off!! what a fool tony bananas was for believing he had an OK to take out (the boss) bruno!!
the genovese simply took over tony bananas rackets after (wich they wanted 8 years before)
This Video and it’s creator are amazing!!! weather you’re into this stuff or not , it was well put together and fun to watch and learn from, this video here, I’m listing as a favorite and sharing with my subs.. So Amazing and well done! … Another one I liked was, (FBI-CIA ALERT, illuminatti ILLUMINATTI 1-3)
Joe Bananas and Tony Bananas related in the patriarchical line? I was a goodie two shoe FDIC bank examiner and veteran. I was basically shat upon by the federal government. I was making noise about a top FDIC murder in San francisco where i had worked. Now it seems Macau launders all money. They should tell new hires this stuff is sanctioned. Now that Joseph Ligambi is in charge of the Philly branch of Cosa Nostra, Philly is getting strong again. Flashy, violent guys like Scarfo and Merlino fucked everything up. Ligambi is low-profile, just like Angelo Bruno. The NYC families, especially the Gambino and Genovese families love Ligambi for his quiet, low-profile approach.
@DarthSyphilis Everything you have said is correct, Uncle Joe is in charge and will be in charge until he chooses to retire. Joey Merlino is just a punk!
my pop pop was hank axe 'short for the hatchett" as they would always say.
i grew up seeing these guys and have this one memory of walking into his apartment ontop a philly furniture store he bought with money he got for burning a club in atlantic city for some guys. i walked in and saw these mob guys in their suits and glasses and tought to myself, 'i have a lot of grandfathers'.
i just wonder if the money is that good or if its just the name people want to get involved with the mafia? you hear on all movies and documentories to where soldiers who earn end up stealing because they are barely making it and when they go to prison for the mafia they dont get no help for their families at all. some life huh?
I think you're talking about Louie Irish who was killed over near 12th & Shunk. I was 15 or so, so it must have been the late 80's early 90's when Louie was killed.

What's junketeering? If that's what he said.
dnlgberry 1 year ago
@dnlgberry He's referring to junkets, or paid trips, to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, etc. It's a word play on the term "racketeering."
