@MadonnaAgain-They took an actual vote you retard, the "yay and nay" is something that the house does on almost every bill, its a form of voting procedure. All someone has to do is make a motion for a request for a vote count, which is clearly demonstrated in the video, so the House took an actual count. The republicans are trying to use npr as a sacrificial lamb to the American people so they can say they've cut spending, when the real cuts need to come from defense and from *some* entitlements. How the Republicans rule? I'm sorry, but Nancy Pelosi promised us the most open, transparent Congress in history; what did we get but closed-door negotiations and inside deals. We were promised actual bi-partisanship by the Democrats, and yet they rammed legislation through Congress without considering the objections of Republicans. Effectively, 24 hours and two minutes would equal 72 hours. An embarrassment. Mr. Speaker should also learn to pronounce "Parliamentary". Keep pounding that big gavel, sir. P.S.
