Its changing. From Howard to Market is only bad now a days. When I first came to SF in 2000 Sixth street was PACKED even in the street with no gooders and undesirables. I would have NEVER dreamt of visiting sixth especially living there. Well last week I moved to a new building there and I actually feel safe. Keep in mind that the criminal element was told to come here and stay here for containment, yes ten mire years and this area will be even safer. But we must not give up. We must keep fight

Living a block over from there on 5th while in high school having to watch out for my little brother and sister put the rest of my life in perspective. Whether it was a hop over to the worst part of Richmond, the alleys of Tijuana, or just strolling about in the slums of various asian nations I have never been scared of the cities at night; and all their troubles seemed comically bland by comparison.
