Erik är en jättebra sångare men kommer aldrig kunna ersätta Kenny. Jay Smith skulle ha passat in men Erik är med åt Bryan Adams hållet. Gillar när han sjunger lugna ballader = Är så bra på det men inte hådrock. Snälla Heat byt honom mot Jay, ok?

The band competed in 2009's issue of Melodifestivalen (Swedish qualification to Eurovision Song Contest), there you have the problem. Why even bother to discuss whether or not, Erik Grönwall is a worthy replacement for that untalented dwarf they had before? Every single band/artist that participates in that competition is S-H-I-T, no exceptions.

Yes I prefer Kenny, When Erik sing this song he is not putting any feeling nor effort into the song, Kenny had way more emotions!!!!!

Erik is a good singer but some songs are meant to be sung with way more emotions and feeling.

HEAT are at a critical time in their careers and I guess they needed to keep the momentum going so chose the best replacement singer that they could find. I think Eric shares the same management. Kenny was/is an exceptional rock vocalist and his departure has completely changed the dynamic of the band, not only the sound but the image as well. Eric may grow into the role but it will be a different band.

@EmmsMCR I´ve ssen it and personally I think he ahs talent but if you listen to for example run to the hills it was aweful.

He sings false notes on so many places I had to shut it off.

He has good range but thats kind of it I think.

Some of the things he did there was really good but a lot of it was truly bad too.

Listen closely to the Run to the hills song.

In the live performance he was on so many false notes that it was painful.

Though the show must go on song was really good.

I´m not writing this to be a jerk, I´m working as a a full time musician and this is my oppinion..

Erik is good but Kenny was truly great.

I can agree that Kenny is a very good singer and Erik is very good too. But about that you said about Erik was drowning in background noice, it depends on the video. I have just listen to three videos with "old" HEAT, there I hardly can hear the words Kenny sings.

@ErGrforever1 Well I´ve seen them live with Erik too and it´s not the sound Im talking about it´s just that Eriks voice is a little thin compared to Kenny and even though he has the range he doesn´t have the lovely thickness in his voice and the tone needed to do this kind of music very good.

I think a little easier rock would suit him better.

Erik is a good singer but his voice is too thin.

Nothing against Erik, but Kenny was probablyy one of the worlds best glam-rock singers today.
