In my opinion i think the original martial artists wore big pants for some reasons one of them being: To be able to watch the flow of the movements in a graceful way.

With your shorts, jeans and tight pants your moves only seem like randomly moving some sticks instead of grace and flow like water.

I mean, for you trickers is okay because i assume in this point you only seem to pay attention to the moves and the difficulty, the combos..

But don't forget the grace and that art that lies within

@mpalau It depends on which martial arts you look at. There are some traditional Japanese arts that utilize very small pants that resemble shorts, cutting off around the shins. In Kung Fu/Wushu there are some uniforms that have the arms cut off specifically to show proper arm technique.

The larger clothes add to the flow of larger movements, BUT in fact can mask bad technique. You can't see if someone has a straight leg or extended all the way in baggier clothes. In skin tight pants, you can.

@mpalau Some only pay attention to the moves or difficulty as you stated, but if you watch this video and most of our recent ones...None of our group of friends are throwing doubles or multiple spin twisting moves with the exception of Moe's 1080, which is still a kick. Everyone in this vid can do double corks but no need to.

Trying to stray away from the attitude that "most difficult" combo or the "most spins" is the best, and trying to bring back intricate transitions, lethal kicks, and style
