WorlWide telescope is better than google earth and Celestia but Planetarium 1.1.1 is the best.

wwt high res imagery my asshole i just downloaded it and i'm not even sure it uses satilite images but maybbe i've done something wrong is there a problem if not wwt is a load crap

The most recent version of World Wide Telesope is a tad ahead of Google Earth's sky view; e.g. WWT's guided tours and the ability to "back out" from the Earth, and zoom out to a 3D model of the entire observable Universe.

But the Google Earth plugin, along with the abillity to script things, opens up a bunch of possibilities that ought to scare the team behind WWT...

I have both installed. May the best man win -- and provide us astro-buffs with steadily improving toys! :-D

you can go to Google sky,Google moon,and Google mars for free on the internet instead of downloading it. so have fun :)
