For me rita wasnt bad. First she was great, Zed was amazing from the 2nd season. the 3rd season was a love hate for me. alot of things I had problems with that season. alien couldnt get into, I skip it then move to zeo. Zeo put the show back on the map then turbo fug it up. space was alright Dino thunder amazing if you havent already seen it. The ruturn of tommy, back with dinosaurs, The story were good and villain were great. it even had closure.

Just look at how they witched about the first Ninja Turtles movie and there4 Ninja Turtles 2 sucked, I mean they were literally using toys and food instead of weapons!!! And Transformers went down in Seaasons following the movie b/c of the death of Optimus; parents witched about that too. Season 3 was when I left and a big part of it was Kimberly leaving. Jason, Tommy and her had always been my favorites and she had shown such growth over the years. Kat was just to overly sweet to much of a Mary Sue.

Nostalgia blinders are so nice to have on. Fist off, the idea that no zord post the orginal can match up is crap. I thought the thunder megazord was actually quite a bit better. The design was cooler, as was the overall theme(A samurai putting on his armor). The fights actually were quite cool, but you had to get past the zyu2 edited fights(which were god awful) to the actual dairanger ones. Another one is the astro megazord from space. Once again, cooler design and fights.

Lord zedd. The most evil villian in PR? probably. He's nothing compared to quite a few sentai villians though. for example, shadaam the main villian in dairanger, who killed his own son and the series mentor. Zedd was all aobut appearences, he didn't really DO anything. My thing is this:with sentai, goranger from 1975 is the first sentai and japan's MMPR. Its is the first, the highest rated, and the most remebered by the older generation. My problem is that the later shows

It's interesting how season 3 was heavily story driven yet at the same time the villains became less menacing. In S2 Lord Zedd started off really strong and then towards the end he became a goof. It made it seemed like the Zedd/Rita pair somehow paid off.

And one thing that bugged me about the last MMPR season was the lack of unmorphed footage. I was used to the 'Z' putties but I guess the rangers were used to taking them down.

I was allways a huge fan of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and for some reason, i still am. I don't know what it is, but there's something about it. I agree with you to the fact that the series were way better when Thuy Trang (Trini), Walter Jones (Zach) & Austin st. John (Jason) where in it and after it, the show went downwards which is sad. But anyways, about the review itself, I could'nt have said it better myself. So nice work.

You're quite right, Rita has nothing on Zedd and Rocky has nothing on Jason.

Season 1 and 2 were definitely the best. I'm 20 now, and at the time I probably watched up until Kat replaced Kimberly, and stopped following that.

Did check out Zeo after learning that Jason returned, since lets face it, Jason is the absolutely best there probably has ever been! :)

The reason for the non continuance is because of the nature of the original Japanese series. Although the Sentai francise has been running continuously since the eighties, every year is a new series. The reason for more Americanized action in MMPR was that they ran out of footage with the original show, but didn't want to change costumes to avoid confusing viewers. SInce Alien, the costume changes each season has alligned with the Japanese counterpart

power rangers could possibly get to be real popular again like it was in the early 90s if they stop making new seasons and it goes on a long hiatus and gets resurrected within 10 years or so. Transformers came back strong, so can power rangers. it just has to be at the right time. which isnt anywhere near now sadly.

I think Austin, Thuy, and Walter were actually absent from multiple episodes before the transfer, but as a kid, I had no idea! Watching The Power Transfer today, it's so obvious with the editing done.

Totally agree with you on Lord Zed. Every now and then I watch the movie, it's still pretty good but I thought it was funny when they introduced the ninjeti powers on the show and it was completely different from the movie. One of my favorite aspects of the show was the music. I loved the main theme, the Green Ranger theme, the White Ranger theme, and the Gold Ranger theme. I even have them on CD.

If they even reboot Power Rangers, they should make Lord Zedd have qualities of modern characters like Crow, Joker, Anakin Skywalker, Jafar, etc etc. That would be amazing. Yet rebooting power rangers would never happen...it's a kid's thing....
