  • Ted Kennedy may you rot in hell!

  • Never seen this video before - very nice. Always thought "Remembering Marie A" had intriguing lyrics.

I prefered his teeth before they were fixed btw - suited his mouth better.

  • The entire "Baal" EP is brilliant, but I would have given just about anything if he had done this video using "Remembering Marie A." instead.

    "Remembering Marie A." is a 2-minute masterpiece.

  • Death Pop...lol. Cool!

  • I think he always sounds best whenever he sings in deep voice ( like he does here ).

  • what year was this song ??? was it around the thin white duke time or after ??? is it in the 70's

  • Well, Wild is the Wind song/video was recorded 1981, and the blatant visual similarities in the videos are enough to convince me this was after thin white duke

  • This song was recorded in 1981 for the EP David Bowie in Bertolt Brecht's Baal. Bowie starred in a BBC production of the play Baal in which he played the titular character as well as sing the songs written for the play. So, yes, this was after his Thin White Duke period.

  • awesome

  • Yes, his voice...his music...so much in tune with my ears.

  • The first time I heard this, I cried...

    David's voice is so passionate.

  • Same here. You know Bowie is giving his all when he actually makes people cry just by singing. I also couldn't wrap my head around how beautiful this was when i first heard it.

  • David Bowie is awesome.

  • i would like it to be played at my funeral

  • Wow, what a creepy, wierd but awesome song. The story is so dark and gruesome. The mood of the song perfectly fits it.

  • was this recorded at the same time as the Wild is the WInd video?

  • Yeah I think it probably was shot around the same time. WITW

was the single to promote the "changestwobowie" compilation album which came out around the Baal time.

  • I was wondering that myself. I love David Bowie!!

  • what a great interpretation!

  • Wow! Didn't even know there was a video for this!

  • Do an Ebay search for the 1982 5 track EP using terms such as David, Bowie, Bertolt, Brecht's, BAAL, then buy a USB Good Old Vinyl LP player.

  • Wow, I've never heard this before. Very powerful, beautiful, haunting.

  • I totally agree with you. I've been a Bowie fan for the longest time.

  • I love this song so much... David Bowie sorta resembles my pastor...

  • wow. That was...wow.

  • He is soooooo a BEAUTY!!!!!!! :)

  • Superb. I got the ep when it came out and tuned into the TV show. This, as with the other songs from "Baal" show what a truly incredible voice DB has.

How about a petition to bring back the old teeth?

  • YEEES Petition to bring back the old teets pleeeease :) :) ;)

  • Well that's two of us. That should do the trick. He's just not the same without the old gnashers.

  • Yes... i HATE his new big theets :(:(:(

  • Such a haunting melody...I have to admit I don't like listening to it because David puts so much emotion into it I'm depressed afterwards...sign of a great musician. I totally agree with the whole "why did he get his teeth done??" comment, he had beautiful teeth! Beatiful, fangy teeth!

  • :}

I had bought a cd 2 years ago with this song on it...and i freaked! :D

  • Wow. Just wow.

Like so many this is new to me.

  • Yeah incredible. When i heard this first i really didn't get it. It was a real blessing that Bowie brought his fans on a trip which encompassed real culture; the wonders of Brecht etc.

  • Teeth! TEETH! Why, why did he got them fixed?! ))

  • you are so right,,

  • I agree!!!!!

  • @JktuUekmw ik,i LOVED his teeth!

  • @JktuUekmw well if it makes it so he's more comfertable smiling... means we get to see his georgeous smile more.

  • @JktuUekmw haha he fixed he's teeth becuz now he has the money lol ...blesss

  • i'm in love.

  • this is a amazing song. Always been a fav of mine but you dont hear it often. True Bowie gem!

  • Why has the "Baal" EP never been given a proper CD reissue? I know there are a pair of tracks on the reissued S+V box, but this music deserves to be heard. Come on now, "Tonight" and "Never Let Me Down" have been issued how many times, and this never? Easily, this is the last great music he has recorded.

  • thank you so much for posting this!

I have never heard it before, it's a real jewel.

  • His voice is gorgeous. So many corners that voice turns, so many different timbres.

  • Haunting, beautiful, actually makes my heart ache to hear his voice... Been a Bowie fan all my life, everything he does is magnificent, but this truly shows how tremendously talented he truly is-Love him!!!

  • I never heard this song until now, so sad, but David sings it well

  • This is from his production of Bertolt Brecht's "Baal." He played Baal, and sang the songs definitively - no one else can even touch his interpretation.

  • too beautiful, too beautiful

  • Beautiful!!!

  • woah.. WOW

  • Stunning!!!!!!!
