It's interesting to see how many games are performing miles better on C-64 compared to Amstrad. Has to do something with the video chips in both computers. btw those shiny colours again prove VIC-II designers did a BIG mistake with their washed out fixed palette
Yea i had that game too and on a cpc 6128 GREEN screen, i admit i loved it but it was sooo sloww. I just saw what it was like on acommodore and got shocked but back then we didnt had commodors in greece.
A non-scrolling screen makes the game easier; perhaps both options could be incorporated, so you could choose...Level 2 has a superscroll at the far right corner; if you have a scroll, it turns to a superscroll, allowing you to deliver the whole magic world to Franz
@Intraquarkic non scrolling also allowed you to move to one screen to avoid an enemy and then go back to the same screen: all enemies of that screen would have disappeared
okay, im not sure which came out first, the amstrad version(which despite millions of failed attempts to load it on an emulator) or the C64, but the c64 version was 100000000000000 times better(thats alot of 0s people!)
It scrolls with flimbo and not in the shitty screen by screen plan were subjected to here, it has unforgettable music(the amstrad has no music) and the c64 had SEVEN levels, not SIX!! and to top it off, C64 RUUUUULES!!!!
Seeing this conversion of a C64 classic makes me want to vomit in rage! The real game is nothing like as boring, malpaletted, or simplistic as this, and it beggars belief they couldn't make a scrolling screen! Shame on Amstrad!!
Why is there no music?

the commodore version is clearly far superior
I played this version recently on WinAPE, and it is very poor in comparison; very slow, bad graphics and the lack of scrolling is unforgivable

Oh well, at least the colors look better on this port over the c64 one.
