@ dueroden It was VICTORIA who got him hoooked on Cocaine and then dumped him for a plastic surgeon as if she had nothing to do with what happened to him. She will always share in the responsibility of what happened. Victoria was no saint and to try to make her so by saying she tried to help him get of drugs and did an intervention is sickening. She used Andy did drugs with him, got him hooked and then moved on kicking him when he was down.

@mexicala u guys are missing out. Letter writing was the most relaxed activity ever. Not like writing a business letter or an email to a friend. It was a time you could discover who you are and relate in a different way with somebody else.

She basically pulled together an intervention to get him off drugs, it is called tough love, and until you have had to do that to a family member or loved one, you can never imagine how hard that must have been for her. I have been there, and turning my back on someone who refused to seek help, allowing them to hit rock bottom is what saved my brothers life from drugs.

But any of us as human's could fall into that same tragic trap blindly without even realizing it with the same level of fame and status. Here s my problem with VP, even IF she had a reson to break up with Andy, it s HOW she did it. And then there was the two years he was drug free, she didnt call or write even as a friend to wish him contuned sussces in beating the drugs BUT she could write him a note when he was a stranger...oh RIGHT that was when it was about HER. Even a friend would write ONCE as an encourgement gesture

@rockinrobintweets You are exactly right. She didn't have to take B.S. from him, but give him some benefit of the doubt if he is for real cleaning himself up or just a phony pity story. That does not mean she has to move back in with him or get together alone with him.

But she should have communicated with respect to him out of genuine love for a start without comprimising too fast getting back together with him. Waited a couple more years to make sure he is really clean free of the drugs.

sometimes in life it's to bad that we can't predict our futures, to see the paths that we're about to go down is not the best one for us. in this clip victoria seems so much older than he is. when it comes to love and the human heart there sometimes is no logic. we end up in such toxic relationships i do believe in love ,when it ruins you're life that's not real love something else is going on. i think he loved her more than she loved him and that was his downfall. miss u hope u r happy now

She knew she had a gold mine when she found out that sweet little Andy had a crush on her. She knew then that she could go from being a C-list celebrity to an A++ celebrity just to be in Andy's presence.  Andy was awesome and deserved so much betterw, wish he were here to see that his fans continue to love him and his music!

According to VP, his drug abuse ruined the relationship. She's been quoted as saying something to the affect of 'He had to choose me or drugs, and tho I know he wanted to choose me with all his heart, he chose drugs.'

What a terrible shame. In the end, the drugs destroyed him.

According to his family, he and VP had been broken up for four years when he died, so he didn't die of a broken heart over her like I had always heard. He did go through a terrible time of it, though.

@nese67 Oh, I forgot about that! Her husband was one of the last doctors to treat Doris Duke - he gave her a face lift. You really have to question the character and integrity of a doctor who would take money from an 80 year old woman for elective cosmetic surgery. Especially when you consider that by that time her mental faculties were being called into question. He's the one who hooked her up with all the shady doctors who cared for her for the next year and a half until her death. This

@nese67 guy was such a shady, disgusting crook. He and his buddies basically killed her by withholding food and drugging her heavily. All those doctors were in cahoots with the butler - he was paying them big time to kill her because he was executor of the estate. The whole thing was as sleazy and criminal as it gets. Victoria Principal is a VERY rich woman. Supposedly it's from her skin care line. You have to wonder how much of it is from an old lady her husband helped to murder.

few days after this show Andy moved together with Victoria. After break-up with her, he has said later, he didn´t have any money and friends cuz when he was with VP he didn´t have any time for his friends. Drugs started to be his best friend....too bad he´s gone, he was very special, charismatic and talented person. He needed real love and happiness but he never reached the point to be really happy for a longer period of time after breakup with VP.

Hi Ilsy, thanks for posting! I had seen the first part of this show, but never this second part. Andy was so sweet and adorable here. I had to smile as I watched his reaction...was it his manager he was looking for at point? He was genuinely starstruck. It's sad that things worked out the way it did.

one thing people say to people with drug addicts in their family - you cant blame yourself - so why is everyone blaming Victoria?

i think i would have given him that kind of ultimatum that she did if it was me, i think she loved him but simply couldnt deal with it and you cant blame her for that, it was tough love but he didnt respond to it.

@MrsSuperman93 Well considering that VP was 10 yrs. older and also liked to do cocaine herself, she probably was able to handle it better than Andy. Plus VP was married and going through a divorce when she met Andy, and should have been able to see how infatuatd Andy was with her....but she enjoyed the attention and she enjoyed Andy! Andy deserved so much better and I wish he were still here!

I know he was a star but he was also a young star and it would have been hard to handle the fame at such a young age, there were so many factors that people forget and in my opinion, you cant simply blame Victoria.

Of course, she was the only one in this relationship with him (lucky woman!!) so who knows what she could or could not have done to have a different outcome. I never really paid attention to Victoria Principal, but she seems pretty phony in all the videos I've seen of her recently, this one included. I don't know if she loved him or not, but she just doesn't seem sincere.

@7Terri My feelings were that she was enjoying all the attention that SHE was receiving from all this. Andy seemed just like a very down to earth guy who at his young age, makes me think that he was more infatuated with her. I think he did care for her a great deal, but at her age, I think she just enjoyed him as a "boy toy: especially since she was going through a divorce at the time. Said it before and will say it again....Andy was much too good for VP!!

I agree with SweetSesatia.... she didnt deserve Andy at all... one of his fans who love him ...would have stuck by him no matter how tough, cause thats when people you supposedly love need you most, she went on the run. I really dislike her and i think if Andy would have ended up with maybe marie or Olivia, he would have been loved beyond everything and would probably be with us right now...I sure count the blessings of having spent time with him.... he was wonderful and very sensitive andcaring
