it's not that Xtreme o0 And isn't the film just called "The LAst Airbender"? Algthough it is mostly about the Avatar throughout the series from very beginning to very end. I can see why AVATAR woulda been a cool title but the show WAS called "Avatar: The Last Airbender" so if they just did they it would be MORE like the cartoon and no legal issues...why didnt that do that instead? oh well XD XD

The reason the film isnt being called Avatar the Last Airbender is because a James Cameron film with the title "Avatar" is being released this year

I said I can see why it'd make more sense to call it "AVATAR" than "The Last Airbender" as it fits more bu they couldn't do that because of the other film caleld Avatar (which is a stupid reason as if morethan one film can't have the same title and haven't in the past). But if they can't call it "AVATAR" and they're gonna add "The Last Airbender" they mine as well call it "Avatar: The Last Airbender" it'd be MORE like the show.

First of all i need to educate avatar fans on Asian history since i majored in it. Everything from buhdisim to martial arts has its roots in India. Secondly Avatar is heavily influeced by Indian culture. Avatar is hindi for living God, Agni as in Agni kai litterly in hindi means fire duel after the hjindu god of fire. Now dev patel is a powerful actor some sugaring and make up will make him look like Zuko. I think a white actor said I just have to pull my hair up and get a tan (sokka).

I agree he looks and feels more like sokka. It seems he was added purely to dispell all the acusations of racism in the casting. Im glad hes there and that finally their some diversity in the movie but hes in the wrong role

Y'know, after seeing him on The Daily Show I think he'd be the perfect Zuko. He doesn't look the part, but he is self aware and serious enough to really take this role and do it justice. I just wonder what they are going to do with all that hair, lol.

I like indians. I've only had 2 indian friends...but more than I can say for most ppl. when I Was in second grade I had this girl as a firend named ..idk how to spell it but it was pronounced "snee ha" or sumtin. and then in 3rd and 4th grade this boy named Ravi was my friend. Before I left he got an older friend who was indian I got to meet befoe leaving. all nice ppl ^^ of course I make friends with all ages, races and genders lol ^^

cuz he can portray the CHARACTER even though he doesn't portray the LOOK. But there's always make up, or not. But the clothes will sorta make the biggest diff.

Why do you use the word "replaced". Jesse was never actually cast as Zuko. If you had checked your sources when Jesse's name came up for the role, you would have noticed that they were "considering" him. He was NOT actually CAST. And he was NEVER OFFICIAL. Dev Patel on the other hand IS OFFICIAL.

If you checked your sources you would know that Jesse actually mentioned he was playing Zuko during a recent radio interview, he had to step down though due to the fact his touring clashed with the martial art "boot camp"

LOl, yeah, "touring conflicts". I like to think that the casting director took a double take and realized that the role might have been too big for the actor. I mean, that is a huge jump...pop star with minimal acting jobs to Golden Globe and Oscar nominated actor...

he's a pop star, yes touring conflicts with the BOOT CAMP. He was learning martial arts. They switched to someone who knew how to fight becuase McCartnet bought tthe fight training time issue up. We should thank him for the tip on the how to choose his replacement :] Although the guy looks even LESS like Zuko, it doesn't matter. JUST FIRE BEND!! :D hell yeah XD XD
