I get tired of this arguement of who is stronger/more powerful! there are few in the circle of Ult-Superpower heros. Hulk and Thor are def at the top. but my point is i would like people to be less geeks and think of who can win in a different manner. As in football with the any given sunday concept! too many factors: environment, what stage hulk, what stage thor, as with other superpowers... please go solve an equation geeks come back and lets talk reasonably...lmao! Someone asked me to prove the Hulk has limits. Ok limits are relative to who's writing the story. The Hulk is comsidered 100+ tons. so at the start of his hulk out he's 100 tons and growing. He has been ko'd before he fully rages out. To put that in perspective to Superman. He's lifted naval ships. I've seen him carry and oil tanker. that's way above 100 tons. As powerful as the Hulk is how long would he have to be "MAdder" to get to 90,000 tons? Both h are limited by the rules of their universe

Theoretically he has no limit. Theoretically Superman has no limit. Just depends on the conditions. Their bodies are still finite and can only contain so much energy. When Superman absorbed all that energy from the sun and became insanely powerful, it killed him. I think Hulk would reach a point where even he couldn't contain the energies his body produces and he'd revert back to Banner. But science is bendable in comics. And their limits are ridiculously high.

This happened in (616) continuity and Thor used his divinity to reverse the events so it never ocurred, to reverse the damage done. Thor has also knocked Hulk out with a single swing of his hammer, nearly killling him. Thor has even one-shotted the Abomination. If you do want to include outside continuity, then Thor has also snapped Hulk's neck and killed him.

Indeed he did. But those were special circumstances. Zeus, normally, is not stronger than Hercules. And we've all seen Hulk hand Hercules his ass multiple times.

That's a good question. I don't think it would. Kryptonite doesn't make him instantly lose his strength. The longer he's exposed the weaker he gets. At least that's how it was in the comics last time I read Superman on a regular basis. But that's been a decade or so back.

Well yes and no. Hulk is immensely powerful but not unbeatable. The key is hitting him so hard and fast that he has no time to increase in power. He's been knocked unconscious before. If it's severe enough, he'll revert back to Banner.
He also use to be susceptible to high concentrations of gamma rays. But not so much anymore. Like how they limited Kryptonite in Superman. A gamma bomb could incapacitate Hulk. A Kryptonite bomb, Superman. cont...
So they wrote out the gamma ray weakness and made less krytponite. It's always about balancing insanely powerful people so you can have conflict and drama.
There's no tension if you have unbeatable monstrosities. World War Hulk was a great series because it showed just how far they could take the concept of the Hulk. But it's not the norm. DC has pushed Superman to unbelievable heights but always drawn him back.
Superman can't breath in space either. He can just hold his breath for insanely long periods of time. At least that's how it was last time I was a regular Superman reader.
I don't know how long the Hulk can hold his breath. If you remember, in World War Hulk he stood outside his ship, in space, for hours on end. Just meditating about the beat down he was about to deliver. Thor I'm not sure about. Being a "god" he probably can breath in space.
Also, Thor has never beaten the Hulk. Even admitted it himself recently in the Fear Itself series. He's slowed him down, fought him to a draw, but never really beat him.
Though I would have loved to see him take on Hulk while he had the Odin Power. That would have been an epic battle.

Thor is pretty bad ass. But the difference is that Hulk almost always reaches a point where he loses restraint. Stops holding back over worries of collateral damage.
Thor rarely does. He's not an anti-hero like Hulk, just a hero. That really limits you a bit when fighting Hulk. The collateral damage will be enormous. Like what Dr. Strange did in World War Hulk. You can't match him with force unless you want to break apart everything and everyone around you.

Superman has moved things the size of small planets. It helped to be in space where there is no resistance but, still, an epic feat.
Hulk has reached a point where he was about to fracture the continent of North America like a living earthquake.
But there was always the suggestion that they could go further. Much further. Read All Star Superman to see how insanely strong Superman could get.

Indeed he did. But those were special circumstances. Zeus, normally, is not stronger than Hercules. And we've all seen Hulk hand Hercules his ass multiple times.
I forget why but Zeus was far more powerful than normal in that story. Though he has access to cosmic powers. And just like Superman with magic, it always causes problems for the Hulk.

That's a good question. I don't think it would. Kryptonite doesn't make him instantly lose his strength. The longer he's exposed the weaker he gets. At least that's how it was in the comics last time I read Superman on a regular basis. But that's been a decade or so back.
But who says even if you made the bullet, and a gun that could fire it, that you could even hit him with it? He's fucking Superman. I mean you gotta be SURE.

But, the DC equivalents could also do that to Superman. He too is mortal. And the term "omnipotent invulnerability" is redundant and doesn't exist. He's just invulnerable.

And Zeus beat Hulk once under special circumstances. Thor cannot beat him. Even admitted himself in the Fear Itself series. He can only slow him down. He beats Hercules on the reg. Ares fought him to a draw once with an enchanted axe but, without it, he got beat quick.
Hulk's main weakness is the power cosmic. Silver Surfer has beat Hulk before. Straight up, one on one. Superman's big weakness(besides kryuptonite) is magic. He hates it.

Well yes and no. Hulk is immensely powerful but not unbeatable. The key is hitting him so hard and fast that he has no time to increase in power. He's been knocked unconscious before. If it's severe enough, he'll revert back to Banner.
He also use to be susceptible to high concentrations of gamma rays. But not so much anymore. Like how they limited Kryptonite in Superman. A gamma bomb could incapacitate Hulk. A Kryptonite bomb, Superman. cont...

So they wrote out the gamma ray weakness and made less krytponite. It's always about balancing insanely powerful people so you can have conflict and drama.
There's no tension if you have unbeatable monstrosities. World War Hulk was a great series because it showed just how far they could take the concept of the Hulk. But it's not the norm. DC has pushed Superman to unbelievable heights but always drawn him back.

Superman can't breath in space either. He can just hold his breath for insanely long periods of time. At least that's how it was last time I was a regular Superman reader.
I don't know how long the Hulk can hold his breath. If you remember, in World War Hulk he stood outside his ship, in space, for hours on end. Just meditating about the beat down he was about to deliver. Thor I'm not sure about. Being a "god" he probably can breath in space.

Thor is pretty bad ass. But the difference is that Hulk almost always reaches a point where he loses restraint. Stops holding back over worries of collateral damage.
Thor rarely does. He's not an anti-hero like Hulk, just a hero. That really limits you a bit when fighting Hulk. The collateral damage will be enormous. Like what Dr. Strange did in World War Hulk. You can't match him with force unless you want to break apart everything and everyone around you.

@jmrjhulk He never officially gained the brains of Banner as the Hulk unless betty was around to affect the hulks subconscious which was banner ^_^, he gained them as the Grey Hulk which was pretty sweet but sadly him and wolvs never fought again :( that would have been sweeeeetttttt. I don't have a link but I have every original comic in my comic closet if I can find it I will scan them and just make a vid and post on my page may be a while though I live in AZ now and the comics are in Japan:(
