O que me lembro mais dessa corrida foi do acidente do Mario Andretti no mesmo local em que o Emerson Fittipaldi levou um "totó" do Michael Andretti. Legal também foi que o Emerson continuou sua trajetória e seguiu para garantir pelo menos o segundo lugar, na temporada em que foi campeão da Indy (1989). O Téo José costumava chamar o filho do Mario Andretti de "Sr. Totó".

Wow, driving standards were really horrible back then. Andretti made either an incredibly dirty move, or an incredibly incompetent one. He wasn't even up to the turn-in point. Mo Nunn turned out to be prescient about that, because 7 years later Jeff Krosnoff was killed by a move just like that.

@SSkinner901 To be fair to Johannson, although the Krosnoff accident was basically SJ's fault, it was probably not caused by an intentional blocking move. Jeff pulled-out very suddenly to pass Stefan just milliseconds before SJ pulled out in his path in order to lap a slower car. It was just incredibly bad timing and Johannson's failure to use his mirrors. Krosnoff's accident also began a hundred meters or so before this Michael/Emmo bump.

Meu amigo,o Michael já fez isso em VÁRIAS outras ocasiões,mas podemos citar a temporada de 1996 da saudosa CART,na qual ele simplesmente "jogava o carro" para cima do Paul Tracy(que também fazia muitas trapalhadas igual ao Michael),Maurício Gugelmin e do Robby Gordon(outro piloto MUITO agressivo).

@GordoManz Vendo o Emerson,a Família Andretti,Família Unser,Rick Mears Bobby Rahal entre outros,dá saudades do tempo em que a Indy era a INDY,sem essa história de ligas diferentes organizando campeonatos distintos,chassis desfasados pros dias atuais,baixo interesse publicitário.Se não fosse pela cisão da Indy com a CART,teríamos a segunda maior categoria de monopostos do mundo e brigando diretamente com a F1,e não iríamos ver a NASCAR dominar o mercado americano

O Michael Andretti sempre fez isto ao longo de toda a sua carreira!

O Mario Andretti(pai dele) era exatamente o oposto do Michael... um piloto agressivo mas extremamente técnico,que jamais faria uma manobra sujíssima como esta e merece ser respeitado,afinal de contas o Mario foi campeão tanto na Indy como na F-1.

Incredibly unsportsmanlike move by Andretti. I would have expected that from Schumacher, but not an Andretti. Emerson was robbed of a fair shake at the win. At least he had some remorse in victory lane.
