  • I bought this bass in 2004 still have it. by far the best bass I have had and played!!!

  • @dagerv can you please comment on any downsides, thanks.

  • Wow! love the tone, and such sustain at 1:37!! I want one.

  • what the fuck is up with the dislikes?

  • What are the major differences in the stilleto studio 5 vs the stilleto elite 5? There's only about a 50$ difference in price, is it just because of the differences in finishes and the EMG Hz vs the EMG 40Hz pickups?

  • I have one of these, and absolutely love it. The low B was a bit loose when I bought it, so I replaced it with a higher gauge and it plays like a dream now. For those pondering a 5 string, you should definitely go for it if you play tracks with substance. As for the thickness of the neck, it takes very little time to get used to. Cannot speak any higher about this bass.

  • since its a 5 string, is the neck kinda clunky? i dont even have small hands but i could imagine it would be slightly more difficult to play..?

  • I have that bass its so fuckin awsome

  • I got a left handed Schecter Stiletto Extreme 5 for $100 on amazon this week. Epic deal, right? :D

  • i have this amazing bass up for sale! check out schecter stiletto studio 5 on ebay, mines the lower priced one.

  • I also have the stiletto s5 bass with an ampeg

Svt-5 pro cab and ampeg 6-10 eq cab. Together my sound is amazing

I also have a fen pre and a pevey 5 st millennium, neather can touch

    My schecter. Not even close.

  • i own the 6 string stiletto and schecters are amazing!!!!! like amaaaazing!!!!!!!!

  • you should test the Schecter DV4.

    Please, do it!

  • I have a left handed 5 string version of this bass. absolutely love it; to get a better bass you'd have to pay like $1500+. plays and looks great. takes 2 9v batteries, though.

  • @Mr5stringBob how much did you get it for left handed, and i take it youd recomend this bass?

  • i own this bass got it for christmas so sick plays so nice but i got the lefty model and it by far is the best left handed bass for its price range i would recomend this bass to anyone

  • schecters are the best for even exteremely high price ranges. Their great!

  • Shceters are the best in their price range hands down. (imo) I had to replace my Diamond 004 due to theft and was heartbroken not to find one. But, I am getting the Riot-4...this thing is bangin! I'm in love with their thick tone and SOLID feel. I've played Fenders and Ibanez in the past but it will take something severe to break me away from Schecter now.

  • gah...put the fucking pick away and be a man

  • I've played some schecters before, and they sounded pretty sweet. I'm thinking about buying this model, but the fretless version. is schecter a good brand?

  • i have a schecter elite 7 string guitar and it kicks ass. im getting a omen extreme 5 string bass. i would say their a pretty good brand,

  • it's a great brand especially for the prices, but even then they are great instruments, i have this exact bass, a hellraiser tempest and a warwick double buck corvette, the warwick is obviously way better as it's a $1900 bass, but the schecter is still an incredible bass that is very versatile and still blows loads of more expensive basses out of the water.

  • ive played some schecters. the only ones ive liked are the stiletto studios and customs. another company you should check out, for bass, is warwick

  • @spnumachocogopher222 Yes! I had the 4 string frettless and it was ace.

  • I've yet to actually see a Schecter Stiletto in person. I looks like it has a fairly thin neck on it though. Am I mistaken?

  • I <3 S.S.S.5 B.

  • 0:55 Alice In Chains - "Them Bones" ??

I don't know if it is, but it sounds like it.

  • I've owned a crap washburn XB120, a Traben Element Five string, A brice six string frettless, A schecter Stiletto Studio Six string and a Spector Rebop Five string. And This bass I would rather play then all of them. Even the Spector. Love it smooth. Neckthrough, Active 18v, 35inch scale, And actually my favortie from any other bass I've tried so far, including Warwicks, Ibanez, other spectors, fenders, and so on. I know it's personal taste but it's awesome. Bought it brand new $1000 6 String

  • Sounds very thin in this video. I own this bass, it's a very powerful and full sounding bass.

  • going from 4 to 5 at first fells wierd but it grows on you ,now try going from a 4 to a 8 string galveston lol

  • would you say it would be hard for me to play a 5 string? i've only played a 4 string but im really good?

  • I have been playing guitar for 13 years and have never said that "i am really good" you sure do think highly of yourself. But whatever, you probably suck ASS!!!!!!

  • nah 5 strings arent all that hard to play it just takes a while to get used to the low b string

  • I got this for $530 CAD =]

  • Wow, What a deal! Used? Defected?

  • costs $1399 in Australia haha

  • isnt it shit... really would like to get one but considering the price here im more likely to but a yamaha...

  • getting a 4string version of this

  • im stuck between this and the ibanez sr500. but im leanin towards the schecter. THANKS FOR THE VID!!!!!!!!!

  • Me too, but I play medium-sized frets and Schecter got Extra Jumbo frets, that's the difference between it and the Ibanez.. what to do?

  • I have not owned a schecter bass but have had several of there guitars. If you want something that is nice and good quality but dont want to spend a ton money on a name get the Schecter. Ibanez is also good but there lower priced instruments do not have the quality that Schecter provides.

  • im stuck between this and the sr500 ibanez. but im leanin toward the schecter right now. THANKS FOR THE VID!!!

  • That's a beautiful bass. I am in dilemma as I am having one shipped in but I can't test it before I buy, so what's your opinion on this bass?

How's the playability and action? Is it balanced? Good? Among all the other Schecter basses you've played, which do you think is nice and comfortable?

  • Schecter make's great basses. All that i have played are will made. I have not owned one yet, so have not strapped one on. So can not comment on the balance. But they play like butter, the ones i have played. This one i think is gone. A good bass always gets bought, quick. Will see if she pops ups back here, or a pawnshop.
