1999 Oldsmobile Alero Key Fob Mod Test

I own a 97 Buick and the transmitter is the samesame for my car. I sanded the antenna and it now transmits much further.

there is a plastic coating on it and the wire needs to touch the metal

Well, I won't be able to test it again after sanding down the antenna a little because I have sold the car.

just put they key on your forhead....it works...i tried it..........and i saw it in "top gear".....

i know im only 13 but put your (key thingy lol) against your forhead =)dad used to do this to increase rangeof unlocking and re-locking

Well i see a flaw in your test, there is a coating on the "antenna pad" that kipkay takes off w/ sandpaper, and i didn't see you do that. I think you got extra range by simply taking off the plastic shell.. so maybe sand it down and give it another go?
