I have no problem with these reviews, but I'd question whether prospective buyers want to see a car salesman driving their very expensive car like that. And, whether buyers actually are watching the youtube video of a car they're going the purchase (to the tune of Sufjan Stevens lol). I'm not hating. Just, I'd have a hard time seeing the videos as being of any use. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Chris - the engine in the AMG 55's is actually a 5.4L Supercharged V8. Common mistake, the 55 badge is misleading but Benz has a history of this - just like the "63" new cars actually being 6.2.

Actually if you researched a bit more you'd find that automakers always round up. Another example being the 4.9L mustang, called the 5.0

As Chris says, get your facts right! - All Mercedes cars with the AMG supercharged 55 engine, comes with the ''old'' 5 speed automatic, but of course upgraded!

And why it's not the new 7 speed tronic is because it can't handle the torque from the AMG 55 engine. The engine with simply just rip it apart!!

The cars with the newer 6.2 (badged 6.3) AMG engine comes with the 7 speed tronic, because the engine has less torque than the AMG 55 engine..

Seeing as the car was released early 2004/2005, the AMG 7-speed gearbox hadn't been brought into widespread use yet, in fact it was still in development. The 7 Speeder has only been used in the AMG models since they have had the 6.2l naturally aspirated V8 covered by the "63 AMG" moniker in all variants. :)

Both the CLS55 and E55 are almost identical, the CL55 is a tad slower but not by much. The CLS is more aerodynamic but weighs more than the E. I got a CLS55 because I see about 150 E's per day and I despise them.

My father has an 07' CLS63 AMG (507 HP) 7spd AMG Speedshift trans. This car is amazing! My father ran 12.37 @ 116.8 bone stock with 20,000 miles on it. Both the CLS55 & CLS63 are amazing cars. I feel like a movie star when I'm driving it lol. ;) Thanks for the great video!!

Hi. Great Car. I love the 5.5l V8 Kompressor-charged! In the CLS it's awsome but for my freetime I would recommend the SL55 ^^. I even prefer it to a SL63!

At 1:38 he sais, "Kompressor" means the German variant for a motor being supercharged... I think Germans do as well use and build Turbo-chargers! ;)
