  • EEWWWWWWWWWW WTF IS THAT!?

  • O3O I love the face

  • SOOO CUUUUUTTTTE!!!!!!!!!

  • Like hell they're quiet. I have a dollfaced Persian and she's a talker, and she hates travel.

  • very very veeeeeery many many maaaaaaaany xD

  • 1:35 they do shit :O

  • maaaaaannny maaaaaaaany years back..they have nothing to do with cats found in Persia maaaaaannyy maaaaaany years back, we travel maaaaaany maaaaany miles...

  • Why do they have to breed them with such short noses, it cant be comfortable for the poor cats and doesnt look good either.

  • MR TINKLES.

  • the ideal owner is Dr. Evil!!!! muhahahaha!

  • what she says about them talking to you is so true, have 4 persians and all of them you can have conversations with. it's hilarious, i love them :)

  • I WANT TO GO UP AND HUG THE LITTLE FLUFFER! :3!!!!!

  • Quiet? My Persian sounds like a crying child when he wants his food, lol!

  • 1: 16 lol

  • Hahahaha I have a persian and he's not quiet, he meows a lot, asking you to play with him. And he's very playful......even when you want to take a nap.

Mine is not a lap cat at all.

  • i own one flat faced persian, in the house he follows me everywhere like dogs... he's adorable

  • Persians, no other can compair.

  • Mushy little face,

    Sausage shaped body,

    ADORABLE!!!!

  • The doll look (which I prefer) is better for the cat's health. Too many upper respiratory problems with the smushed face.

  • I have two and they really are the BEST!!!

  • Congratulations.

  • cuuteee but funny looking too!!!

  • Wow. Good temper, but it looks like it has crashed into a wall.

  • Persian breeds like the one in the video are so ugly that they're cute!

  • lol, they are so hideous looking! look at that face! XD looks like a pug-cat, haha. I'm sure they're lovely though

  • I love the extreme flat face , not the doll face - the doll look is pretty generic.

  • many many many ... very very very .......

  • Sombody smashed that poor cat's face in!

What horrible monster would mutilate a cat like that?

  • I had a persian cat and boy she is right! You gotta groom them daily and since I worked during the day and was basically lazy its hair would turn into little balls and it would then be so hard to comb it. The grooming is expensive and to me it was literally a pain. Quiet cat too so not so bad. But it acts like a princess so doesn't really care if you are gone for days and won't greet you when you do come back.

  • @ekateri28 what do u expect if u dont even have time to groom him (which takes 30 minutes unless u are going to show ur cat) and u want him to greet u...if u dont have time for him ....dont whine if he does nt have time for u either.

  • 'bathing' your cat is such a dumb american idea. just brush it everyday.

  • Who said Americans came up with bathing.

  • dumb american is a tautology

  • @SimonCoulthard I'm American, and I never bathe my cats. They don't get stinky like dogs. Just brush them to get the dirt out. I bathe my dog once a week though, and brush her teeth every once in awhile, lol.

  • My Persians will make alot of noise/meows when we have to transport them to the vet. Same when they are bathed.

  • I couldn't say it better myself! I LOVE Persian cats!

  • Persians are the best i love my little guy! By the way we both enjoy brushing.

  • I think it's humane, after all, it's far better to cut the hair than let it get matted, which can lead to problems.

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE. Persians need to be groomed regularly or they will get horrible painful mats which are impossible to remove unless you are a professional groomer. GROOM YOUR PERSIAN.

  • she's mental to think that brushing and combing a persian is fun and enjoyable for both you and the cat...it's a wholly unpleasant affair, with loss of limbs a real factor.

I dislike the ones with such maligned eyes...I've had several but none particularly extreme.

  • My sister cuts the hair off her Persian very carefully, the climent is warm and the cat does not seem to be able to groom herself enough with the long hair intact. However, she leaves the hair on the head intact. I think that is humane?

  • Breeding has ruined this breed, the traditional breed had such a sweet face, and the same temperment, The modern day persian's eyes and nose areas need to be cleaned daily, why have a breed that cant look after it's self? Im sure it has a lovley temperment, but its looks have been ruined.

  • @Ingiequeen I'm always a little startled when I see persians in shows and stuff. I had two purebred persians, and they had regular cat faces, just shorter, but not flat or pug-like at all.

  • @falkoche Yea I like Persians I use to have a cat crossed with Persian. I jus dont care for the extremely flat nose. But I love their temperment and their extremely soft fur. I use to groom cats at a pet shop and the cats always put up a nasty fight, but the persians I groomed even when giving them A BATH would just tolerate it. I absolutely adore their gentle nature.

  • Sorry all but this thing is HIDEOUS, to be subtle. I'm a cat lover but damn this thing looks like it was dropped off a 30 story penthouse and landed facefirst on the concrete.

  • lmao

yeah I don't like flat faced persians either. proud owner of a non flat faced persian, lol.

  • What's the difference between a Himalayan and a Persian?

  • Persians are a natural breed while Himalayans are a "created" breed, the result of crossing Persian and Siamese. I think Himalayans are a bit more talkative.

  • is that thing fat or a big fluff ball?

  • All fluff ! I have a persian.

  • Thanks for putting together such a great piece on Persians! I've had persians since I was a child. Great breed! Just loving sweethearts!

  • how come every cat on ideal companion "travels well." I had a Persian for 16 years his nose was maybe slightly less pushed in. He needed to be combed otherwise he got what we called "kitty dread locks."

  • horrible looking nose on thses cats. I'm sure they are lovely though!

  • great video

  • (Sp correction) None of my Persians are lap cats :P !!!

  • I think the persians are cute and they'd keep you warm at night when cuddling.

  • these videos are very informative

  • The Breeders have done this as this is what the Judges use to "judge" then. I don't like the way they have breed the cat's nose which causes breathing problems. Persians originally did NOT have that pushed in nose.

  • Are all Persians peke faced?

  • no, there are doll faced persians too which are sometimes healthier and a little bit smarter. I am a total cat person and persians and himalayans are my favorite i love both looks for the persian.
