I was just thinking. If you're mounting this with the Intel brackets, those two little nipples are what causes the problem. You could use a Dremel tool to grind those nipples down maybe 1/32" and then mount the cooler. It's the height of those nipples that causes the damn thing to mount so loosely.
I put a V6GT in a few weeks ago and it def moves a little when you push on it but temps are still fine. I get 37c idle/54c load with i5 at 4.2. Great cooler, don't worry about getting new bracket.
@LavcoPriceTech the mounting screws on the bracket, the one that is adjustable to socket 1366, 1156 and 755, will get loose over time.. and if tightened it up and it will get loose, you will have a very hard time getting it off from your motherboard.. that's what happened to my V8... i bought a v6 gt because of it's mounting system.. very easy to remove and install.. but we have the same problem about the wriggling of the cooler though, but i just leave it just the way it is.. :)
@LavcoPriceTech hehehehe i plan to put a industrial strength adhesive to the retention bar so that it will permanently stick to the cpu cooler, hence it will not wiggle anymore... do you use IC diamond 24 carrat in your CPU cooler? i really want one but it so hard to find one here in the Philippines.. hehehe
@jomac21 That is a pretty good idea with the adhesive, never thought of it. I don't use that brand thermal compound. What I use it zerotherm. We got it in a big bundle off of new egg. I know new egg only ships in the US but I don't know about tigerdirect.

@jomac21 Yeah that is kind of what I figured but they said that it was the "secondary mounting".
