Agreed. I'd never heard of Roth when I bought the collection but I lucked out because his playing is marvelous.

I don't play piano (do play guitar and bass) but I want so badly to learn. Someday soon I hope.

He is also a great live performer. I have seen him a couple times and will be seeing him perform again in a couple of weeks. My favorite live performance of his was when he performed all 8 of Schumann's Noveletten.

My understanding is that Mr. Roth's next CD release will be of the Noveletten by Schumann and I eagerly await it...

His next CD will indeed be a recording of Schumann's Noveletten. He recorded the Noveletten years ago, so the new CD will be a re-recording. The original recording (with sound excerpts) can be found on Blue Griffin's website.
