i'm not even sure this "George" is even Goofy. one one thing his voice is completely different. he doesn't sound like he fell down a flight of stairs as a child. secondly, he doesn't have Goofy's characteristic bucked teeth. and the most obvious difference is that he is in fact called "George". I'm willing to accept him as a close relative of Goofy's, perhaps his brother, but not as Goofy himself.
@EmSeeSquared I don't even think Disney was ever clear about this issue. But generally, George or G.G. Geef is Goofy's far more eerily humanlike persona; in some cartoons he doesn't even have ears!

Goofy Jr. and Max are the same character. So technically, Goofy Jr. didn't exist before Max because he IS Max.
Incidentally, "Stayin' Alive" was also used in "A Goofy Movie".
