the only way to combat oils is to use something opposite, like rubbing alcohol, or an alternate solvent. otherwise, the oil will never completely leave

Great Video! For the oily brush I would try cinema secrets brush cleaner. That cleaner gets EVERYTHING out of the brushes and its quick drying. Hope that helps! =)

Such a pretty look! Also, two things:

1. Have you tried Prestige's My Blackest Lashes? I saw it in Pharma Plus the other day and thought of you! I wasn't sure if it would be the same formula as the regular My Biggest Lashes, so I just wondered if you had tried it.

2. With the oil on your Sigma brush - have you tried rubbing shampoo onto it for a few seconds FIRST, and adding water to it AFTER to rinse out? It breaks up the oil by itself first, since water will make it slip around too much.

Thanks! I've never even seen My Blackest Lashes, but if I ever see it in the store I'll pick it up for sure. I tried doing that with the shampoo but it didn't really work. It's not just a little bit of oil on the brush. I accidentally knocked over my bottle of almond oil and it basically dumped all over the brush and the counter...the counter was easy to clean but I'm having a heck of a time getting it out of the brush...

I use a Sony Handycam DCR-SX40 and my 12 year old son films all of my videos on this channel. I film all of my videos for my other channel because no zooming is necessary over there...

For the oil on the brush...have u tried dish soap...? sunlight...it's what i use...I put some in the palm of my hand..and swirl the brush around in it...When i rinse it..i keep it close to the tap..only the bristles..this way ferule doesn't get wet..I repeat that till its gone...I hope that helps..:D

Thanks! I actually tried that repeatedly, but it didn't work. What happened is that I accidentally knocked over my bottle of almond oil and it spilled directly onto the brush. I've tried dish soap, shampoo, laundry soap... I'm not sure what to try next.

Another thing u can try is Cornstarch..Pour the cornstarch to the brush...let it sit over night...It should absorb some of the oil...See how it reacts..Then use the dishsoap to clean the brush..You can use cornstarch..baby powder..or talcum powder..The thing is u have to treat it right away..normally..However i have used this method for clothes...after...Not sure if it will work for a brush...but it does work for hair..synthetic and real~..

Thanks! It's so sweet of you to say that! I don't wear contacts. My eyes are really blue - they are actually grey, but they change color depending on my mood or what I'm wearing... sometimes they look ice blue, sometimes bright blue, and sometimes almost navy.

I'm going to be at IMATS on Saturday for sure - I'm not sure about Sunday yet though. It really depends on my ride...
