  • i am so glad i found this vid i am buying a bike that needs this little tune up

  • What are the clearances for the valves im trying to shim my friends and cant find to specs on it

  • @125MRrm I put them in the video at 2:38 click the blue 2:38

  • hey man im putting a new vavle in the bike it strech out so what tools do i need to like compress the spring to put that clip on the top please i need some help lol

  • @billyman1221 There's a special tool called a "keeper tool" those little "C" shaped pieces are called valve keepers. With two people you can get by without one. Use a magnet tool and a pair of long nosed pliers with a 90 degree bend. Set the head on the work bench on a big wadded rag to keep the valves from getting bent.

  • and i droped that fuckin half ring that holds the bearing dam i was fishing for that for so long lol

  • i fucking love u thanks help me a ton quick Q my one intake valve i cant fit any feeler gauge under is that bad?

  • @billyman1221 That's normal. Use a zero for the math on that one. (beginning clearance.) By "fucking love" that means you clicked the "like" button right?

  • @briansmobile1 no Favorite button

  • @billyman1221 "Add to" and then favorites. ; )

  • @briansmobile1 both:) and part 1 why not

  • @briansmobile1 hey man i did my valves today got all pefert valve clearance but I'm wondering my shim is a 1.35 so this mean its ready for a new valve cause i can only go down ,15 on a shim and its max out ??? thanks for the reply i subscribed thanks

  • @billyman1221 Sounds like you'll be shopping for some stainless steel valves.

  • @briansmobile1 all my other vavles are perfert like 2.55 so there ok right just need one intake with spring etc wheres a good place to buy them im in canada an ill pay online

  • Hello, Can i just replace the valves without having to shim them. (i know it may cost more) and when i replace the valves would i need to do anything after they are replaced?

    thank you

  • hey what are the four bolts that hold the cams down soposed to be torqued down to?

  • @4everwillride Something like 18 ft. lbs. Those specs are based on diminishing return on angular rotation. You ever do an increasing f(x) problem in math? It's kinda the same thing. You'll see the bolt slow to stop before risk of breaking it. I torque till it binds down secure and then stop.... but I've been wrenching literally every day for the last 24 years. Ya, I'd go 18.

  • you never made the shimming video (part 3). when can we expect that video?

  • ive got my buckets out, and my shims, i can read 255 on my shims on right and left of the intake side. can you please explain in a little more detail on how to convert to metric so i will know what kind of shim to go with.

  • you can buy a shim kit it has all sizes in metric and number's i had to go threw this atleast twenty times : ( lol hope that helped.

  • great video. very, very helpful. im planning on breaking my bike down tonight for valve adjustment/replacement (2004 rmz 250). i heard that if you want to go with stainless steel valves, you have to buy some sort of kit for it?

  • yep. A set of Kibblewhite's
