@DARKcpu0 You need to have a pokemon with a special stat of 131, I believe

Then have the ditto copy that pokemon.

The easiest way to do that is to have a different pokemon in front, and then switch when the battle begins; hope that helps you

The Elite Four doesn't work... bceause the Trainer has to walk to YOU in order for the glitch to work. YOu can't talk to anyonre..... Also, he doesn't tell you that you can't use anything from your start menu so no, Surf won't work, niether will dig or an escape rope. The game thinks you are in battle so the only thing you can do is find whild pokemon. But that still doesn't end the glitch. It take a trainer to end the glitch. I've used this glitch to get missingno.'s in the past.

I think the only trainers I haven't beat yet on Yellow are the swimmers, so will the glitch be able to work while using Surf? The swimmers can apply with the gambler thing where as soon as you go on screen they battle you.

@metalheadkiddd yep. there is a swimmer on the route toward pallet town from cinnaber that it facing towards the right. i tried it before and they work

Will the "Gambler Trick" work on any trainer? I've beaten every trainer except for the ones on victory road.

Is their a certain quality a trainer has to have/somthing you need to do before hand?

@Jackimole It only works with trainers who see you as soon as you walk onto the screen. For example, that specific Gambler will see you anywhere in his line of sight, so he will battle you as soon as you appear on screen. Other trainers may not see you until you get closer, so it will not work. I don't think anyone in Victory Road will work, so you may be out of luck.

Follow this video using a Pokemon with a Special Stat equal to the Pokemon you want's Hex value. Link for hexes in description.

@koopa786 A trainer in the north of Cycling Road makes a Dragonite appear, but I'm not really sure which one. As for Gengar, you can fight the guy looking up from the grass in Cerulean, just make sure his Ratatta is the last Pokemon you see. I've experimented a lot with this glitch. :)

have teleport go to the trainer to the left after nugget bridge go down and pause when your in line of site go to the part after nugget bridge to the right and fight the male trainer to the left of pokèmon trainer(female) make him walk one space up to you and beat him teleport again and go on nugget bridge when your menu pops up press b and you should fight gengar (P.S. sorry if it's not the male trainer I haven't done this in a while)

@koopa786 For a lv 7 dragonite do this glitch the trainers at the top of cycling road i dont remember which one for gengar same type thing but i used an abra a trainer above cerulean works with gengar another with lapras another with scyther another with cubone another with mew and another with nidoqueen i restarted becaus i wanted a gengar.

you have to approach them from straight on, i think. and the reason your A button isn't working is that when you fly away from the fight, it tricks your gameboy into thinking that you're in fight mode, so none of the buttons work.

Nope, only in R/B/Y. However, there is a glitch in G/S/C that is much more complicated, but can get you any Pokemon, including Celebi.

Well, in simple terms, here it is:

As soon as you enter the route with the gambler, the game tries to resume the battle that should have started. It pulls the Pokemon data from the Special Stat of the Pokemon you faced in battle last. So if that Pokemon had Mew's decimal value, 21 Special, you'd get Mew.

You can use the Elite Four as an undefeated trainer I believe, although you will have to beat all 5 members.

Hmm...That may be able to work...the sole purpose of battlign in teh first place is to make the game think that the battle you "started" with the Trainer you ran from is over. I guess it doesn't matter if you win or lose... I'll look into it.

7 refers to the attack modifier, if the pokemon has a raised attack it'll be higher
