Well my sister made it up to the point where the animals are burning and I look over at her and she was freaked. Horror/ disaster movies are not her thing. Long story short, I pulled her out of the theater and into what ever movie our mom and brother were watching. (^_^) She thanked me after
I kinda like this film! I have no problem with the ending as I already predicted what is going to happen and I'm just in the half of the film I have watched "Ancient Aliens Series" in TV and I already know the concept. Ezekiel visited by aliens with overlapping rotating wheels tingies. Go watch Ancient Aliens series and you'll appreciate the movie.

The whole ending scene just ruins the movie for 1: absolute stupidity and 2: Even if they didnt find the numbers the ending would have had the exact same outcome, which means there was 0 character development from the start to the end.

So the aliens send us a warning by sending them into the head of a girl, hoping other humans would decode it to avoid catastrophes they'd encounter. And then when the apocalypse came, they... chose only 2 humans, 2 kids to bring them to another habitable planet.
Why?
If they intended to save human from the beginning, why didn't they save more of us, not just 2 kids? I mean not all 6 billions humans, but 2 kids?

As the ships were taking off you seen hundreds of ships; each of them probably had 2 kids, animals, etc. Furthermore I believe that the aliens are taking the children to all the earth like planets across the universe. Cage and his son was talking about all of the earth like planets. But it was all still redundant.
Also you need to warn everyone in the comments when your going to announce spoilers, potholes, or not.

While it doesn't do anything for me, this movie doesn't seem all that bad. Compare it with the likes of Constantine and Godsend and it looks great.

@Bagrad100 I haven't seen this, so I can't really judge. But Godsend was awful - it came out a few years ago. Basically a boy dies and his parents clone him. But it turns out the doctor used DNA from his emotionally unstable son, so the cloned son ends up having all these issues. It was terrible - bad acting, unconvincing storyline, and it just went on too long.
Let's see, The last of the Human race were white kids. The Last Species of Animal were white rabbits. The Aliens were white light. The fuck damn tree at the end was white! Was this a fucking mormon production>!~

Honestly i thought this was a good dark movie, i didn't know why people were dissing it, until the fucking aliens. Honestly one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

i loved this movie. i laughed my ass off. i have listened to all the criticism and i have agreed with all of it. it is like joke that only works because it was done completely seriously. it takes a "special" sense of humor to like this movie.

god i hated this movie! i walked out of this movie about 3/4ths of the way in and had more fun watching a middle-aged couple play air hockey! if you ask me, this movie gets a f*** you! p.s. the whole plane crash and subway thing freaked the hell out of me.

My girlfriend and I watched this with our slow witted atheist friend. it really shook him up so much that he felt the need to repeatedly tell us that he's never said he doesn't believe in God. It kept making us both laugh so much, but at the same time I didn't like the fact that he did a complete U-turn on his beliefs, purely because he was scared into it.

@TCVB91 No, He's a dumbass in general. I'll respect anyone no matter what their view point as long as they can back it up, you have to. My dear old friend isn't an atheist because he's careful considered all points of view and come to his own conclusions. More to do with how he struggled with Religious Studies at school I reckon - If it was already a legitimate view point he would probably also say also say he doesn't believe in Maths, Science and English too. Oh he's such fun

For anyone that studies metaphysics this movie is packed FULL of symbology and archetypes that are well worth studying and cross analyzing with the work of Micheal Tsarion, Jorden Maxwell, Steward Swerdlow, and many others. Many people like the blond guy on Spill can't tolerate Christianity at all. When studying the occult you find that Religions could not work if they didn't use Truths to manipulate their flock. Those Truths hide greater Truths that are free of all doctrine.

@xXJacobBuckXx No, it wasnt. Its not even close to christianity. Some nutjobs that believe in Aliens tried to use the last proverbs of the bible to support their theory. They think that people saw aliens in their visions and not visions of gods future. In fact, the movie is so far from christianity it becomes sci fi. Alien believers also think that martians leave magnetic rocks where they land so they put that in the movie.

the funny thing is there was really NOTHING Christian about it at all. It was just like, a weird take on what the Bible said happened in the begining, except it was just SO sci fi and SO fake that it was just a total peice of garbage. I hated this movie personally. I'd give it a strong F*ck you!

@Bagrad100 I thought they couldn't be as bad as the critics say - I was wrong. In VS they would tell a rubbish joke, then they would completely break up the sequence to explain why it was supposed to be funny. They insult people's intelligence by assuming people aren't laughing because they don't get it - they do, it's just the joke is crap.
While it doesn't do anything for me, this movie doesn't seem all that bad. Compare it with the likes of Constantine and Godsend and it looks great.

@Bagrad100 I haven't seen this, so I can't really judge. But Godsend was awful - it came out a few years ago. Basically a boy dies and his parents clone him. But it turns out the doctor used DNA from his emotionally unstable son, so the cloned son ends up having all these issues. It was terrible - bad acting, unconvincing storyline, and it just went on too long.

anybody who dug this movie is a very dumb person period.The heavy handed religious overtones at the the end could only be appreciated by the weak minded.Science and religion will never mix.Aliens take Adam and Eve to another planet...and we get to watch there little crackers ass's run to the Tree of Knowledge.WHAT A BULLSHIT FINAL SHOT.
