@usmanzeb91 pre is before post is after. Aux return is like if you have an output going to an effects processor and need it to come back to the board.
@jmvmain Thank you for answering :) , but I told that pro speakers doesn't need EQ because, this most be an universal setup (and if have it, it's not pro). Pro speakers most have a flat frecuency response, so if you put LOW or HIGH gain you are not hearing the real sound. Only the graphic EQ is needed for keep this flat frecuency response, because the room acoustics have a response in frecuency too.
@funkiddo I don't think pro speakers would have low freq. response. A good professional speaker would have a 50khz to 50hz response. The human ear con only hear 20khz to 20hz but when you add sound outside the range of hearing it will actually add the the listeners experience. It's hard to explain why but basically the lower and higher freq. that we can't hear sort of adjust of freq sound to what we can hear. But once again, EQ is adjusting the "sound" of sound. PS Who said you dont need EQ?
@jmvmain It's ok what you are saying. But i mean that, for studio app the speaker most be flat in frecuencies, independent of the frecuencies you are working. For live app it's really necesary, because if you doesn't have the sound you want, you most lie to the flat frecuency response that the speaker gives you because the room acoustics influences your sound. But graphic EQ will helps you more than a LOW & HIGH gain in the speaker.
sorry if I said PARAgraphic, I wanted to say graphic xD ... I think graphic EQ can helps you a lot for a flat frecuency response. That's what I mean. thanks for the answer :D
@funkiddo i run a 52 channel board every week with band, actors, canned music, etc etc and let me tell you, you always want EQ. Some things could have too much low freq. or too lite. Same with all freq's. you can't just have one EQ for everything unless your running one mic and thats all you do. Also, it doesn't matter if you have professional speakers or not (we do) you have to have EQ.
This is a great board, but he is incorrect. You only have 10 mic XLR inputs on it, not 12. Yeah, it if had 12 XLR inputs, it would be really sweet!!! So channels 9/10 and 11/12 have a weird configuration to save money. In my opinion, this is really a 14 channel board because of that.
hey guys i have the mg124cx mixer but then the sound quality from the mic if i connect via my m nox2 mini is not good as compared to ma direct mic to the m box and do i only sound on ma headphones without having them on the monitors?
If the amp doesn't have a USB send, your going to have to buy an audio interface. Check out the Apogee Duet if your using MAC, or if your using windows, try something from M-audio or PreSonus
yeahhh i read that it had usb connectivity somewhere, i kept looking at a picture of it .. but i don't see an actuall usb connectivity port thing on it. it's on sale and i want to get to tomorrow . it'd be nice to know now = ) thankkkss

@funkiddo yes, for a studio monitoring situation a graphic EQ is fine but with a live gig graphic EQ would never be enough.

i think profesional speakers doesn't need EQ ...
you just need a paragraphic eq rack for setup the system perfectly.
funkiddo 1 year ago
@funkiddo surely you need to ring out the speakers to the room.... this is much easier with a graphic eq...

you just need to get the right cables and it is all good, becasue it is made for everything.
c0rkn0t 3 years ago
you can use a guitar cable (ts) hook it up to the headphone out on ur keyboard and hook the other end to a line in on the mixer
