Wonderful stuff. How this band never made it big is one of those great mysteries. Both Steamhammer Sam and Get Out of London are fantastic. At least with the latter currently featured in High Street Musical they may at last get some recognition that is long (twenty years!?!) overdue. Good on ya lads
Fantastic...havent heard this song for years,,I also used to sing it all the time..I still know all of the words...sat at the comp...bored..suddenly popped into my head..and here it is ...thankgod for the tinternet!!
watched this with my brother when we were kids & used to sing it all the time, checked on youtube for it last year, couldn't find it... thanks for the upload!
Yeah that does ring bells as ive got all the Max Headroom Shows on Dvd and the channel 4 series they did. I was a kid then but its real nostalgia for me..
I CANNOT believe this is on here! I remember watching it and taping it to video. I lost the video. There were two other songs I remember: Germans (don't know by who) and Over The Sea (Jesse McRae I think). Ring any bells?
Yeah, like you I had them all on video too and I must have watched them 50 times each. What an awesome video, although if I were steam hammer Sam I would have lamped the vocalist - he's really getting in his face!
Thanks so much! I used to have this song on video. I lost it a long time back. For some reason it popped into my head so I thought I have a look to see if it was on here. I really didn't think I'd find it but here it is! I know nothing about this band at all (I didn't even know their name) but this song has always stuck in my head. Cheers!
this was a great show the guy at the start is a pain in the ass to listen to. when it was first aired in the uk it didnt have him it just had some strange music at the start
Cor!! I was beginning to think I'd dreamed this song. Reminds me of the hospital laundry I used to work in in 1984, didn't have my own steam hammer but I had a big washing machine and a big clothes-sorting belt. Thankfully I didn't go mad, in fact I was quite glad to let go of that machine.
1984? for real?

The introduction to this song is great. It kinda sounds like Chas N Dave meets Madness. Aye, yeah!
