@Shadow4000000 I think when someone dies we should let them rest in peace. The world has enough evil in it, if we want to fight evil there are more appropriate battle fields. If you don't believe in God, the person doesn't exist anymore. If you do believe in God, then we don't have to do His job for him. Also isn't there a little room for giving someone the benefit of the doubt when someone passes away? Their relatives and friends are grieving and we should at least respect that.

@smokeysport2 , LOL this is a late reply but she didn't make a film with Kirk, she was supposed to star with him in "The Devil's Disciple" but she refused the role. She never did work with him. Supposedly her private reason is because he had raped her. He did have a thing for younger women (i.e. Pier Angeli) but who knows for sure.

As a young girl, I use to love to watch his movies. Spartcus and The Vikings were his best to me. A sweet man to my way of thinking. His son seems to respect him. The rape story first came from a biography of Natalie Wood that was published after her death. The author said that Natalie refused to play in movie "The Devil's Disciple" because of the alleged rape. Problem: that movie came out in 1959. Wood died in 1981 which is an awful long time for such a story to surface. The author refuses to name the actor until after his death and Natalie's not around to ask. Saying such a thing, true or not, would get the biography a lot of publicity.

Secondly, the rape would have to happened around 1952. What was this supposed film they made togethor where the rape happened? The book doesn't say and it wouldn't be that hard to find a movie both made in either 51, 52 or 53.

The actor in question was also a producer and allegedly lured Natalie to a hotel room with a ruse that he wanted her to read for a part. Douglas did have his own production company at the time. Douglas was also implicated in the disappearance of movie bit-player Jean Spangler in 1949 (that's all I'm saying, implicated). He also broke of his engagement to the much younger Pier Angeli mainly because she wouldn't have sex with him.

Kirk is definately the most likely suspect, if the rape did in fact occur. Since Natalie never said so publicly herself, we may never know for sure. Since at least five people confirm that she was raped by the same person to me makes it plausible that it DID happen. Douglas has a history of roughing up women and has admitted that he was violent during sex. If he did do it, I doubt if he'll ever admit it.
