Paul ( Sorry, that's Bono's real name ) was saying to me yesteday that he fucking loves Larry, especially for giving him the opportunity to play guitar, of which he is crap, hold a chord is the best he can achieve. Larry is great at hitting a bunch of tubs though and Dave, sorry, Edge is good at doing that chinka choppa guitar while Bono sings and Adam holds it all together in the end.

Oh ! And they've recorded some of the best songs in the World. I F£$&ing love U2

Bono can't forgive Larry for calling his buddy George Bush a war criminal, which is what he is, and the cold objective eyes of history will judge him as being one.

Bono the Bush licker made a subtle inference that he would have liked ro have had any role in the band apart from the drummer - he fell just short of saying it explicitly - as that was the role that perhaps in many eyes required the least talent.

If you read U2 by U2, Bono recalls a momnet of the Zoo TV tour where his faithfulness was tested, and Adam told him that he would give up all his incredible experiences and his roack n' roll lifestyle to have what Bono has with Ali. And that's why he was best man at the wedding. Maybe in the early 80s they weren't as close, but it's clear that now that these guys are brothers. That's part of why we love them.
