To be fair, Pahayahay had 42 fights and winning record compared to Pongklek's 7 the first time around. True he lost again but he did beat him in a 10 rounder later on. Some guys are just trouble for certain fighters. Pahayahay also has an impressive, going the distance in good scraps with top competition. So you're right, you shouldn't judge a fighter by his record.

Pongsaklek made 17 defenses which is impressive. Not too many champs do that.

Just judging by this fight, Pongsaklek is not the fighter he was 4,5,6 years ago.  This fight is not an indication of how good Pongsaklek was as a fighter. I know they're rumor of him having issues making 112 so a move to jr. bantamweight may help, but this is a poor performance from the thai. No disrecpect to Naito, but there's nothing great about him other than his great stamina. I've seen Ponsaklek fight much better than this.
