Though the jazz bass is better suited for slap, the precision bass does get a nice woody slap tone :)

@Alienpubes ive played one, but i dont own one. the special has a slimmer neck profile than the usual p bass, a vintage bridge that is not string thru, and greasebucket tone controls. the neck has a very nice satin finish on the back. you are extremely lucky if you own one. i wish i had money to buy an american p bass, but since im too young to have a job im stuck playin a 200 dollar indonesian piece of crap
