  • Your turtle here is the ruler by which I measure the quality of my turtle care. I would be delighted to have my snapper grow up so beautiful! (So far so good!)

  • aaaww i love turtles i had few myself this one is amazing :D thanks for sharing with us.

  • Beautiful setup and critter. Of course they're happy in muddy ponds with near zero visibility but if well fed they seem to adapt to tank life.

  • haha awesome, subscribe to me sometime! love the videos! and love the turtle, very pretty

  • thats an awesome snapper! looks like u done well with him/her.

  • I'm very jealous!

  • This is a great looking snapper.

  • Sure they can swim... just not well.

  • I have never seen a common snapper with that color/ type of carapace. Is this some sort of variation of the common snapper? I have a baby common and his carapace is dark and spikier.

  • Its "spiky" in rows? Sounds like you got an alligator snapper :)

Thats gonna be a bigggg turtle.

  • @SteveCrothers I can assure you it's a CST. It's pretty much as big as it's going to get. :)

  • How old is (s)he?

  • the turtle's like it's dead but still gotta kill it >;)

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm pork

  • Nice turtle,,hope you care for it well,,im sure it appreciates that..

  • get a musk turtle so you dont have to get rid of it

what you just said is very immature and irresponsable

  • dude when theyre big,. itll be too hard to get out

youll lose a couple fingers. just go for a tortoise, or red eared slider instead. TRUST ME

  • ha, cute, it still feels the need to "kill" its food even though it's not moving. :)

  • looks healthy, well done

so many people fuck up turtle keeping

  • Hehehe, the head is so big!

  • That's what she said!

  • its so cute how do u keep the tank so clear

  • how much does the sapper cost??

  • how do u keep the bottom so clean

  • you wash it

  • i hope i get an Alligator Snapper once im in Australia

  • there are no alligator snappers in austrailia.

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • Awesome shell indeed.

  • OMG! Like the humongousest snapper I've ever seen!!!!!!!!! that is also a beautiful shell!

  • fat barsterd

  • I was told that it was bad to feed a turtle raw pork or chicken. Is it different for snappers?

  • i bet hes like " hey bro! where my food be? im hungry!"

  • what a beautiful shell. simply amazing. please put up more turtle vids as i have a snapper myself.

  • Wow! What nice shell coloration. Wild snappers have the color of well aged mud. Is that better nutrition or lack of algae and mud? I've seen cleaned-up wild snappers and they still have dull coloring.

  • how much does this slugger wiegh?;)

  • cool, thats prettty good size how old? i like to find the really old ones with all the moss and and big plates grown on them there are some massive snappers out there lol awesome vid.

  • beautiful snapper! what size is your tank?

  • i like toitles

  • I bet he wanted more food

  • I love his big fat head! It's cute!

  • omg, theyre sooo big!

my res turtle gets owned by this one..

    haha..

    my res is awesome though..

cuz its friendly. and it wont bite a finger of..

not yet.. SHE is still a baby./. or a kid. or a teen . or something..

  • i love turtles SSOOO much, they're my favorite animal

  • Hicks, sand and pebbles can be ingested by the turtle....

Any pebble that is big enough to fit into the mouth of the turtle, will be ingested, and sand and pebbles can cause constipation, or, even worse, an intestinal blok in the turtle....

  • omg, when i was a kid i found a baby turtle he grew up to look like this, i could never find his name in any of the books, and he smelled funny, i had him for 10yrs before he got to big and i had to release him into a very nice large lake. I wonder if he could have been some type of snapping turtle. He was friendly enough.

  • well if it was friendly it wasn't a snapper. they are some of the meanest animals alive

  • "well if it was friendly it wasn't a snapper. they are some of the meanest animals alive"

NOT true. Snapping turtles can be harmful, but they are not mean and will only attack or bite for self defence, if you hold them in the wrong way or if they are under stress.

  • nice but i think you should put sand or some pebbles on the bottom of the tank

  • I was fishing one time and a snapper maybe a lil bigger then yours ate two of my bluegill before I got them in lol I saw him just walk away both times with them in his mouth.

  • Nice looking snapper. You need to get some stuff in that tank though, like gravel or dirt and some rocks and plants and stuff. They love to dig and hide. They really need to be able to do those things. I've had two common snappers for about 3 years now. I got them as little babies. They were rescued.

  • awesome! they're my favorite turtle :)

  • Nice Animal....Very Nice..Good Luck With It

  • he looks very helthy and the water looks very clean, good job

  • i want one.

  • i love turtles ^ ^ v

  • lol yeah did i mention they also eat young turtles

  • well ofcourse it can lol, did i mention they also eat smaller turtles

  • Goddamn, that thing is scary!! Can probably eat my baby turtle.

  • My snapping turtle experience tells me that this is not a very old turtle. but I could be wrong. how have you kept it alive so long? my snappes always died after a year when I got them young and the adults wouldn't eat in captivity.

  • Man, thats a very nice turtle. I remember catchin my snapper when he was about the 3in. and now he's about 14in. maybe more. Yeah I jumped on two small rocks crossing a small stream and scooped him out. That was July 4th 2000. So how old is your guy? And yeah my guy really "loves" his rocks, so should i get him a mate?

  • NICE. My turtle is only 9 inches but it can still climb and claw it's way just about anywhere, i can put it on a tree trunk and it will climb like it belongs up there.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!

  • ever see them chase live fish? they can be quick when they want to be.

  • I also have a common snapper named E.T, i will measure and make vid of him feeding. Bowser is Impressive! Great job.

  • they're so fierce even they're just babies

  • wow this one is big, my turtles are small

  • How do you clean its tank? How do you take it out without it snapping? I have a very small one named Kapp'n but it's just a baby.

  • WOW HIS SOOOO COOOOL!!! but dude you better mind your fingers i wouldnt wana get my fingers snapped of that oooo no way! but anyways i swear that snappers are illegal to keep as pets?

  • his face kinda looks like a frogs face but he is a turtle LoL intresting little dude.

  • awesome that turtle looks like a dinosaur...

  • man, you wouldn't want to get your finger caught in that mouth. owie. But that's a cool turtle.

  • Awsome specimen

  • how long u had it 4??? the snapper is BEAUtiful...hope my baby snapper will b as beautiful as urs

  • Love snappers! What's his/her name? Looks very healthy and well kept. Did you buy him or catch him? I prefer the bare bottom, too. Nice video. I could look at those guys for hours. Fascinating.

  • these snapping turtle is fantastic

  • HES SO CUTE & COOL

  • mine is about 5 inches across and im wondering about when it gets bigger how do you change it to a bigger tank

send me a message not a reply so i know if anyone actually tells me

  • thats AWSOME.

  • beautiful turtle. he seems very well cared for

  • shouldnt he have shingle or pebles at the bottom of his tank mine duz'

  • shingle, pebles or bare bottom is all up to your personal taste. but the advantage of having a bare bottom tank is that its much more easier to keep clean. shingle or gravels can trap dirt and wastes, and you need to vacum the gravels weeky or else those muck will build up.

  • Wetsock ur a legend - i may make a fan site bowt u , lol , Btw i subscribed to u lol.

  • o ryte cool do u ave msn?-my turtle in bout 5 inches frmhead to tail lol , it will get to maximum of 8 inchs wich is quite small lol

  • yes :) i have msn, but i dont use it that much. dont really have the time :( should look out for a turtle called "mata mata turtle" they get MASSIVE too. and also they have very different patterns and shape!

  • Matamatas are awesome. Do you like soft shelled turtles? I know this turtle site called Turtle Man. He sells main alligator snappers, but he might have some matamatas. Oops. Nevermind. My bad, dude. I'll keep a lookout, though. :)

  • nice i have a african helmeted turtle he is cute :D , in the name it says 24'' i dnt think thts 24 inch coz tht is wa '' stands for lol n e way i may subscribe to u lol....

  • hello, this turtle measures at 24inch from head to end of tail.its massive! the shell alone measures at 13inch +

  • His name is "BOWSER" named after the supermario boss. yes, its a boy for sure!! i've seen its *** a few times!! i have logs in the tank before, and some time he think it a turtle so he hum away. LOL

  • Tell us moore wetstock. What his name?I'm guessing its a male cause of the slightly longer tail.I use to have a snapper just like this name him Fury cause it he was by far the hardest turtle I ever cought!Only 1 in 50 or 1 in 100 have the dazziling shell patterns like this one.And I just BET he loves it when you jently rub the back of his shell with the tips of your fingers and thumb. You should do a clip scratching his back for us.

  • im feeding it fish(whole),chicken(with bone),cockel,prowns(with shell),pork chop(non fat) & fish food. :-)

  • it taking a high level of calcium, thats why the shell developed in perfect condition.

  • It's rare to see one with a shell that radiated like the sun.Hope you don't give them table scraps. They need whole fish mice, rats ect.Real nice specimen

  • Beautiful, absolutely the most beautiful creature ive ever seen
