Anne Boleyn was brought back from France to marry James Butler, the heir to the earldom of Ormond, not to seduce the king. And Thomas Boleyn was Henry VIII's trusted diplomat for years before he ever set eyes on Anne.
i don't understand why people say anne is such a bitch. she was a tool of her father, the real evil behind it all (at least in this version). And there was always something perverted about the way this actor played Thomas Boleyn.
@stitchgrl777 Yes, she was initally a political tool for the Boleyn-Howard family but she too got caught up in the power game as well and unfortunately, it brought out her nasty side that resulted in her saying & doing things that she would latter regret during her downfall. That's the problem with the power, it will eventually corrupt a person one way or the other.
@evaperonfan Considering the fact that he used his children to boost his own ass up the totem pole and then openly acknowledged the guilt of Anne and George?
i wouldve probably enjoyed the show if this actually looked like anne, yes she is very beautiful but annes trademarks were her neck, hair and most importantly, her eyes
Natalie Dormer was incredible though. Most of the actors and actresses didn't look anything like their characters. Although, how are we to know EXACTLY what any of them looked like?
"There is something deep and dangerous about you Anne...those eyes of yours are like dark hooks for the soul". I think that sums up Anne Boleyn and what she was all about. Call her a witch, whore, harlot, whatever...she exudes POWER.
Yes, there are clips of them on the show. But Mary and Henry had nothing to do with Henry and Anne getting together. It only made Anne fight to stay free from Henry even more.
This is also my favorite scene of the series. When I first saw this scene, her father's last line made my jaw drop. It really is poetic and beautiful.
Also, note how he strokes the hawk's face and then does the same to Anne. He's getting reading to unleash his bird of prey on Henry!
Her dad is creepy.

One of Anne Boleyn's trademarks was her large "almost black" eyes. Her enemies called her a "goggle eyed whore".

yes, I agree with you, JuzTudor70AD, Natalie does look good in red. Thnx for uploading.

Do we ever see Marry, and Henry together I have yet to see, some clips of them, I mean that is the whole reason, why Anne and Henry became so close.

thanks for your view on the hawk.. I have been pondering over it for some time

Actually, the bird is a falcon, which was on Anne Boleyn's emblem.
