There are viable reasons for not having women in combat MOS's, and they have NOTHING to do with a woman's supposed strength. Men are simply not built to withstand seeing women blown to peices, and they will break all discipline and bearing to rescue her, to the detriment of others.
Men are also incapable of seeing a woman as another man. We are biologically wired to see women sexually, and this creates huge problems when multiple men are involved with a woman in close proximity.

Seems a big issue that this Chaplain presented is about a coherent, effective military. By allowing the division in our troops with Gay/Non-gay troops forced to co-mingle their lives, our military is diluting, even destroying its effectiveness and purpose of being just a good, working fighting machine. That part about "playing for the other team.."? It comes down to reality here. Our soldiers need to know that every player around them is truly on their team.

I support the courageous Chaplain Klingenschmitt. The problem with homosexuals in the military is you can't put them with each other, you can't put them with men and you can't put them with women. The only thing you can do is create individual separate quarters. Therefore I could see homosexuals serving in support positions with off-base housing. Their homosexuality would be their private business and would lessen the impact on military morale and readiness.

By the same argument, killing is a sin, according to the old and new testaments, and referred to specifically in the 10 commandments. What will GOD do to the military for those displeasing sins? Or is it ok to do one sin as long as you don't do the other sin along the way?
So, what I get out of this, is that this Chaplain believes that "God Hates Fags", and with the repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell', God will stop blessing our troops, so "God Hates Our Troops".

I would think that since homosexual behavior (and probably orientation) seems to have been as common back then as it is now it most likely did happen, however there are men who have gay sex in prison and don't consider themselves gay at all. At best it's inconclusive.

Women themselves are not the problem, men are the primary problem. If you watch the torture scene from G.I. Jane, when all the male SEAL hopefuls are watching Demi Moore be sexually assaulted, what did they do? They reacted with their "Knight in Shining Armor" gene.
So while this Chaplain is definately an idiot and a disgrace to the Chaplain corps, there are still reasons against women in combat. Just my two cents.

There are viable reasons for not having women in combat MOS's, and they have NOTHING to do with a woman's supposed strength. Men are simply not built to withstand seeing women blown to peices, and they will break all discipline and bearing to rescue her, to the detriment of others.
Men are also incapable of seeing a woman as another man. We are biologically wired to see women sexually, and this creates huge problems when multiple men are involved with a woman in close proximity.

This directive is clear and has been in place for a long time. Chaplains have the option of wearing their uniform when conducting worship services and during the performance of rites and rituals distinct to their faith groups." And by the way, Officers may wear their uniform during political protests, if they have permission from the commander (which he did) and if they are conducting a bona fide religious observance.

He won the fight for all other Chaplains when Congress passed legislation to assure that right--but he, as an individual, was not "grand-fathered" into the overall bill. Each word was specific: to murder was intentionally inflicting harm on a person; to kill was for protection. Logically, if your country was attacked, you would fight to defend it. The history and intrigue makes for interesting reading of the Old Testament. History has lessons for all of us if we would like to learn them.

Seems a big issue that this Chaplain presented is about a coherent, effective military. By allowing the division in our troops with Gay/Non-gay troops forced to co-mingle their lives, our military is diluting, even destroying its effectiveness and purpose of being just a good, working fighting machine. I support the courageous Chaplain Klingenschmitt. The problem with homosexuals in the military is you can't put them with each other, you can't put them with men and you can't put them with women. The only thing you can do is create individual separate quarters. Therefore I could see homosexuals serving in support positions with off-base housing. Their homosexuality would be their private business and would lessen the impact on military morale and readiness.

And, concerning slavery..our gender and ethnicity ARE gifts from God (as was mentioned by the Chaplain), we all share ONE race, the HUMAN RACE. Yet, many of us have ancestors who have at one point or another been enslaved/ affected by communism or genocide by our own HUMAN RACE.
Bottom line: God will be the one to punish and judge, NOT US. We need to learn to love one another as people. We may disagree with each other, but we are in no position to point the finger for none of us are perfect.

@niqi100 Perhaps, there was a misunderstanding. I wasn't condoning one way or another. It is about expressing what you believe to be right. Each side believes they are correct. I believe in God. With that being said, I still do NOT agree with the Chaplain calling for exorcisms. These opinions, at times come very close to spreading hate. Take some time and look at some of these comments. Some share their opinions diplomatically while others post from anger.

Also, when talking of women in the military..it does sound a bit much like sexism. Im sure there are plenty of men who would struggle picking up another person in combat as well. We have all felt an attraction for the opposite sex and in the end we choose to act or not upon those feelings knowing premarital sex/ being unfaithful is a sin. Why would an attraction to the same sex be any different? They are just as capable of not give into their sexual desires. Now, whether one cares/ believes they are committing a sin, it is a trait many (regardless of orientation) have exhibited.

If you were to have your way, be aware, you may be the one getting fired some day. To me, that would be horrible. Kudos to Chaplain K for standing up for his beliefs! More pastors need to stand up and be heard on the issues of all sin! Chaplain Klingenschmitt expressed the truth beautifully. God loves ALL people, inspite of their sin. However, David Pakman's journalism sways a negative slant in his questioning. If you REALLY want the truth on this, be "honest" with yourself and seek the truth! Simply ASK GOD to show you and search his Word on this. He's AMAZING! I myself was delivered from a spirit of grief I carried for 30 yrs! The peace I've had ever since has been wonderful. It's OK!
