Well if you haven't found out by now. When you're on the character selection screen and you or someone presses start, just make sure you're holding the R button before choosing a stage. You have to do this every time by the way. Another way to do it is to use a final smash or while in the middle of the game and trust me on this one, do her up and down taunt really fast over and over and she'll ditch the armor.
I completely understand why items are banned at tournaments, but I dislike people who impose tournament rules on recreational play. If you lose to your buddies because of an item, then learn to laugh about it and move on. I always turn the Smash Balls, Poke Balls, Assist Trophies, and Food on low frequency because a little unpredictability is a great equalizer. I also make the stage selection random to prevent people from gravitating toward Final Destination, Battlefield, and Corneria.
mm, i feel the Peach player had a lot of opportunity to use Toad and didnt. Could have easily countered a lot of those smashes. I usually play as peach, but just discovered the joys of ZSS. Turnips arent good enough to pull up when in close combat ^^

That was a sucky ZSS. The only thing he was good at was her paralyzer gun. He could have killed Peach WAY easier if she would have used uair and side b. He also uses dair too much. And he should grab more.

Agreed with all the Zamus comments. replace all the times you Fsmash with the SmashB, Zamus's best damage racker-upper and a fairly awesome KO. The DownB should be abused too, it can KO around the early 70%'s and can spike if you hit hit just right.
But overall, ignore most of Zamus's smashes, though the Usmash can be used to rack up some damage too. In some cases, the Fsmash can be a lifesaver

i think you are right on the he smashes too much but the forward b doesnt really send ppl flying unless they r pretty high %, so he definately shouldve did some grabs to increase percent instead of just smashing constantly

As being a Peach player, and using her in tournaments, you need to understand that Turnips are very vital to how she plays. o,o;
I can recall times where I've stopped Falcon Punches, and even a Final Smash here and there by throwing them in air.
Also, with the ability to "Shield-Cancel" the throw of the turnip, it allows Peach to get a bit more distance, where you can follow up with a throw right after that.
Or a couple of smacks. :D
To be honest, I rarely consider getting the death Turnip. :3
I'm not anything special when I play Peach, but I've seen good Peach mainers in action, and I agree 100%, glide-tossed turnips are Deadly with a capital D.
Even though I don't play Peach much, I wish they hadn't removed the "bounce off shield" property of Turnips in Brawl. Now you can only catch and rethrow for shield stabbing if the Princess accidentally pulls up a Mr. Saturn D= Other than that Peach in Brawl is very satisfying =D
Im going to have to disagree. They took out items because items create an obvious advantage to whomever has it. Therefor the match becomes a wait for an item to appear, a race to get it, and then a finish for whoever picked it up.
The characters ARE (dont get me started on tiers) created equal therefor taking out the advantage items provide make for an equal fight.
U would not see as much skill or combos had items been allowed in pro style matches.
Ummm No Kill moves with ZSS? are u cRaZy? get them with side b at the end of it. And Her kick after down B(just hit b or a after)can kill around 110%, not to mention it has isnane priority.

Part of one's skill in the game is dealing with these situations as they come up.
Just like in this battle, both players tried to take advantage of the stage's changes and hazards, but Samus certainly didn't win because of them.
I completely agree with you, I like the extra strategy of using some of the items effectively. I was merely pointing out something I've noticed between most tournament matches.
In fact, I actually think that people who can effectively use items to their advantage (or their opponent's disadvantage) are overall better players. ;p

When you select your character, hold down a shield button (R on the Gamecube controller) when selecting Samus, and keep it held until the stage select screen. If you did it right, you should see a ZSS icon in the top left corner of the screen, with the icons of all the other players. At that point, you can release the R-button, you'll start the battle as ZSS.

2. very speedy
3. a d-b jump plus and extra up-b recovery(or even side b)
4. she can pause you completly and smash for the kill.
5. she can pivot thro her armor in the beginning(good for mind games)

When you select your character, hold down a shield button (R on the Gamecube controller) when selecting Samus, and keep it held until the stage select screen. If you did it right, you should see a ZSS icon in the top left corner of the screen, with the icons of all the other players. At that point, you can release the R-button, you'll start the battle as ZSS.

Hold the Shield button after you choose the stage. Samus will be striped of her Power Suit and you'll be aloud to use ZSS.

Not bad, but these people need to learn how to combo.
I also noticed how cheap it is that ZSS can immediately start throwing her armor pieces at the start. The guy almost killed Peach with throwing the pieces alone.

Peach's Matrix looking hover after her midair jump is what really makes up for her weakness. Neat match. Cat fight! Should of been Shiek against ZSS, if ya know what I mean... ;-)
