This is what animal lovers deserve for trying to domesticate wild animals. You treat them like they are family, or another human being. Why be shocked or upset that these beasts are acting on instinct. Humanity constantly disrespects the animal kingdom, trying to tame them, kill them, capture them. And then we intervene when they begin to become extinct because we squeeze them out of their territory or hunt them. You deserve to be attacked by an animal if you dont respect them.
