it's true the 400's don't like rpm's, it's because of the long stroke and short rods, there is a lot of pressure on the cylinder walls. custom pistons and 6.0 rods help.

Big tires and a crappy pulley/belt system design will do that. No way to stop the squeaking on those trucks without a new pulley kit.

Badass truck though. While I do agree that a SB with high rpms and a good amount of HP typically does well in the mud, BBs offer more reliability while still getting the tires to spin fast. Not to mention, most mud tires are designed for rigs that don't have alot of HP, so you don't have to spin them as fast to clean the mud out and get better traction.

We blew 2 350's and a 454 to try get he engine right, we blew out 6 front chevy axles and one rear( replaced with a GM 18 Bolt). The truck is put together so it works and doesnt look gay(lifted trucks with tractor tires and stock engine that can barley turn them). So quitchabitchin and go beat off in daddys 3500.
