  • Ingegnoso.....ma non ha la più pallida idea di cosa sia una pizza.....:-).....comunque.....bravo giovanin!

  • @PatologoForestale Huh????

  • Oh, mozzarella di bufala is a good one for pizza margarita, or if using a dehydrated mozzarella a swirl of olive oil before the firing makes all the difference in the world. Side note: pepperoni is an oily american thing. The real deal is called salami picante(a must have)... I know I sound pretentious right now, but I dont mean to. These are just things I learned in Naples that left me feeling schooled.. You helped me so much last year. I wanted to share the wealth!

  • @w5442 Thank you for the info!

  • Did you grill it with the top on and how long does it usually take?

  • @Sykokinesis Yes...depends on the heat. I let the coals burn down a bit to cool off. Otherwise the crust burns before the cheese melts all the way. I would say around 5 to 7 minutes.

  • Nice idea!

  • @ahoiioha Thank you! The family loves it when we do pizza on the grill.

  • The pizza looked great and that is a very interesting and unique way of cooking it by grilling the crust by it self first. BUT It really broke my heart to see and hear how you treated your daughter. Just as you want to be treated with love and respect you must treat those around you with respect, especially your precious family.

  • @prairiepatch Prairie, thanks for the comment, but what I was engaged in is called SARCASM. We joke around a lot here. My family is very much loved, but thanks for your parenting commentary.

  • @BBQMyWay I grew up in a very very sarcastic family as well... I loved it.... everyone got to say what they really meant without any hard feelings... not to mention it gave us a closeness... A lot of people just dont get it..... But hey whatever... I would go crazy in the beave's house!!

  • E quella la chiami pizza? Hahaha manco al cane...haha la salsa barbecue...15 litri d' olio...haha basta sto male xD

  • @18senzasterischi Only speaka Englisha

  • and yeast? how much? How much sugar and salt? please clear recipie... Good cooking is so much more appreciated when I can be sure I can reproduce your good work :)

  • Nice Job- Pizza looks great ! How do I get a shirt like that? lol. (j/k) :)

  • @BobDProperties You don't like the shirt? Ouch!

  • Great Job ---looks yummy!!!!

  • @bbqdad123 Yep....we need to do these again really soon.

  • @BBQMyWay

    Yup, how about Chicken Alfredo?

  • @bbqdad123 Sounds tasty.

  • Ma che te fumi pe mette la salsa barbeque sulla pizza?

  • @alexishoule121 Let me know how it turns out!

  • nice done dude :D

  • good info

  • Hey fresh mouth! That's your little girl - be a Dad not a nasty boy. Keep it up and she'll give it right back to you... when you're 70.

  • I never liked the BBQ sauce and chicken pizza that so many people love, but I did grill a pie last time with chili verde for the sauce (no meat), and a little cream stirred into it. I used Mexican cheeses w/provalone (It's what I had) and topped it with Spanish Chorizo, and egg. Some cilantro and grilled onion at the last minute, it was a huge hit around here! and you're right on with the comments re: grilled crust. To me it's better than oven fired crust.

  • @kern0099 Man that sounds DELICIOUS!

  • @BBQMyWay Three people ate it in record time, lol. I wish I had a cam, I'd put a vid up here. Just take the Salsa Verde after you've pureed it and strain it a little, and stir in the sour cream. I did it since my salsa is a little runny, and I wanted it to firm up. It just takes a touch. Then scrambled up the egg and drizzle on the pie last, and grill until you see the egg firmed up (the cheese will be nice and bubbling too) then put on the cilantro and grilled onion, grill to wilt the cilantro.

  • @kern0099 You are killing me....sounds DELICIOUS!

  • thanks dude...learned something new..

  • @ML221274 Thanks!!!!

  • i can smell it from here, awesome,

  • You lost me in the 1st 20 seconds, you are arrogant and rude.

  • @bonniethebeagle Yeah, but the pizza was good. Thanks for commenting.

  • @bonniethebeagle He could have left out the wise crack but he was just pokin' fun is all Bonnie. Sometimes Man + Grill = Arrogance..... but not here. Good job BBQMyWay!

  • @GianniOlivegarlic Thanks. My kids know I have a sarcastic sense of humor. They love it.

  • @bonniethebeagle he was probably just joking around

  • @meanjoe30158 Thank you mean Joe. You are correct.

  • Fai caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa CIALTRONE

  • You lost me at the BBQ sauce : - Q

  • @hakku68 Sorry! Try the other sauces. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @BBQMyWay No need to be sorry. To each his own. I actually learned a lot from your video. Never thought to put the dough directly on the grill, or to use a breadmaker for the dough. Good job.

  • @hakku68 Thanks for the kind comments. I hope you keep visiting.

  • Yes. The crust is the best ever.

  • @bigneilg We agree!

  • awesome i cant wait to give it a try...

  • Good video!

  • @LRSS46 Thank you. Give it a try.

  • beautifull!

  • @swilsem They were delicious!

  • Nice vid...looks good!!!

  • they look great where do you live iam coming for dinner

  • tu...si pazz..

  • Also - will this work if you do all wheat flour or 2:1 wheat ratio to white?

  • I have never tried all wheat, so I can't answer that question.

  • @dmbgeek87 You need more gluten: 1:1 ratio is recommended

  • Make your own pizza. I like mine just the way it is. Thanks for stopping by.

  • How much sugar and yeast?

  • Looks really good...

  • And fun to make as well. Thanks for stopping by.

  • the music drives me nuts...

  • Sorry to hear that.

  • Pizza looks great though!

  • Thank you. It was.

  • She knew I was kidding, but thanks for the commentary.

  • Hey buddy!!! Did you happen to try the recipe i gave you for the pesto cream sauce? It's so good im having a hard time experimenting with different sauces. Also, try using gouda cheese as well, it's unbelievable. Rock on!!!

  • I am embarrassed to say I have not. But believe me, I plan on it!

  • I've used a stone before. The crust has a smokier flavor if exposed directly to the coals.

  • wouldn't using a pizza stone work better?

  • I use my food processor for making dough. Extremely fast!

  • Really? How did it rise in the food processor?

  • now THAT looks delicious!

  • Trust me, it was! Give it a try.

  • Sorry buddy. mcd means minced. BTW.. It was sood good that i made it again for my family and friends. They couldn't believe it.

  • All I could think of was McDonalds.

  • Just to give you an idea of whats in the pesto cream sauce. Butter, onions mcd, garlic mcd, whipping cream, parmesan cheese ( the good stuff makes a world of difference ) pesto and here's the kicker. Add a tsp or so of chicken base. You wont believe how the flavour pops out. BBQMyWay....You rock!!!

  • What does "mcd" stand for?

  • Instead of using bbq sauce, i made a pesto cream sauce with the exact same ingredients and was it ever awesome. I'll never order a pizza again. Thanks for the great video.

  • That is an outstanding idea. I will give that a try. Thanks for stopping by and don't be a stranger!

  • I tried this for supper this evening with the onion and some feta, mozarella, bacon, avo and a garlic tomato base. 8 minutes for the first grill and then 10 minutes with the toppings. I don't have hickory but black wattle bark worked like a charm to give that second grill that smoky flavour.

Thanks for the recipe dude - the nicest pizza I have ever tasted and I made it all myself!

  • It is a fun pizza to make. Thanks for stopping by. I'll have to try your version!

  • Except now the kids want _every_ pizza made this way from now on. Looks like I've made a rod for my own back :)

  • Obviously your kids have good taste!

  • I've been smoking a pork shoulder for about 20 hours. Think I'll substitute that for the chicken. Nice video...good instructions.

  • I think that will be delicious.

  • I like the way bbq pit boys does it.Clay fire bricks.

  • Mine is a little more authentic, but I am sure theirs is delicious too...just not as good as this technique.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  • Does the hickory help to keep the heat down or is it mainly for flavour?

  • It's totally for the flavor. Gives the crust the smoky taste.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • Great recipe mate! The dough is brilliant but the key is not to overload the ingredients. I was going to try it for Australia Day tomorrow but I need to scale down.

  • Give it a try...just make sure you reduce each ingredient proportionally on the dough. Enjoy Australia Day and thanks for stopping by!

  • NICE!! I made it last weekend with some leftover beer can chicken. I did make one change instead of the bbq sauce I went with a light pesto. I figured we had bbq the night before so wanted a little different taste. It turned out great, still had the nutty taste from crust, and the smoky tasted from the chicken but the pesto gave it that Italian garlicky basil touch!!

  • Wow...that sounds delicious. I have to try the pesto approach. Thanks for commenting. This really is a fun recipe. Stay in touch!

  • Another alternative to the tomato / bbq sauce base is an apricot chutney or similar. I usually can't stand chutneys, but it works well with a variety of toppings.

  • Sounds great! I'll give it a try.

  • Good job. I am going to try it!

  • Thanks! You will love it. We do these pizzas all the time. Thanks for stopping by and let me know how it goes!

    Dave

  • Very interesting, I think i'm gonna have to try this!

  • As they say, "try it...you'll like it." Thanks for stopping by.

  • Nice job - thanks!

  • You are welcome.

  • COOL!!!

  • Try it!

  • COOL :) ,,,gonna make for us. I had the idea for making pizza dough from bread maker but wow this is really cool I didn't think you can work the grill this way.

  • Me either, I love Pizza and don't have a kitchen yet so my trusty ol' weber grill is all I have to cook with. Im looking forward to trying this when I can get my hands on some dough. Great Vid :)

  • Going to try it tonight- will report back later.

  • How did it go?

  • Great. It was absolutely delicious and everybody in my family loved it. It is definitally one of our favorite dinners as of now.

  • Did you make the crust from scratch?

  • yes.

  • im not talking to you!! lol

  • ok?????

  • just bought a Weber here in England and am so going to try this! Thanks Dave!

  • The home made crust is the key, and make sure to cook one side before adding your ingredients. Let me know how it goes!!

  • holy crap, it's 1:30am, I'm tired and you're making my mouth water!!!!!!!

  • Sorry about that! That's frustrating I am sure.

  • Wow I can't wait to try this. I love grilling and I love pizza.

  • Then you will LOVE this pizza. The key is to grill one side of the crust first. I learned that through trial and error.

  • Thanks! I think you will REALLY like it.

  • Great stuff, can't wait till spring to try this.

  • You don't have to wait till Spring!!!!!!

  • Let me know how it turns out.

  • Will try the dough recipe! Looks good..will try on my Green Egg....

  • I will try this. I am going to try your recipe for the dough this weekend. I have spent hours upon hours working on my dough, but I'll give yours a shot. I really like how it bubbles up on the grill (looks great).

  • I owe it all to the bread/dough machine.

  • Looks great! My pastime is making great pizza's. There's something about a great pizza tha makes you feel great.

  • I totally agree. Try this approach. It is really awesome.
