  • Please watch "On the Dark Side in Al Doura - A Soldier in the Shadows" and learn what happened honest and brave US citizen.

  • FUCK PAT FUCK HIS FAMILY AND FUCK YOU PUSSIES ALL AROUND THE WORLD WHO ARE BUTT HURT

  • Their son died protecting poppy fields not fighting the war on terror the American people should fucking revolt your government is fucked. What did the war in Iraq do? Afganistan the mother fucking pees brother was one of the biggest heroin guys around.(look it up). Rest in peace pat tillman

  • Get 'em Lou

  • Saying "atheists don't believe in anything" is so fucking stupid.

Anyone who says or thinks that has a brain made of shit

Then again, that's what religion is supposed to do to your brain.

    Turn it to shit

  • The fucking code and all the bullshit and nothing but some man made belive shit .Much love 4 the tillman famliy.

  • It's shameful that is even being discussed.

Tillman seems to have been a man of impecable integrity and deserves better than the ignorant society he died for.

  • @craigpsimpson - Exactly. Who gives a damn what his religious or cosmological beliefs were? He's somehow less of a hero because he didn't believe in any gods? What the fuck? I couldn't care less if he was a theist, an atheist, a deist, an agnostic, an acrostic, a Play-Doh-ist, whatever. The man was a REAL American hero.

  • @A86

    Don't you understand?

With these religious mother fuckers all that matters is that they belong to their club

They don't care about morality or decency

    Fuck religion

It's a con game for people who flunked science and are afraid of death

  • @boyinthedrain - Largely agree. Not all religious people are like that but what you said is generally true for religion and religious people IMO.

  • No who say there was no atheist in the foxhole?

  • I too am an atheist. We MUST come out of the closet and tell them we will not stand for being persecuted anymore! We demand equal rights, and we demand the same respect that religious people demand!

  • i would proudly stand infront of millions of relegious people with bats in their hands and say," i am an atheist, and if any of you has a problem with that, and would like to force your religion upon me,...i will kill you with a smile on my face", to all of you that are atheists , you are above thos short minded fools that will try to force their beleifs on you, stand strong, with no regrets, and you will live a happy life, my name is Oscar and im a proud atheist.

  • This Lt Colonel was a total douchebag and completely ignorant of atheism. He should be ashamed for insulting a man that died for our freedoms. As an atheist I am outraged and can understand the frustration fo Pat Tillman's family.

  • hmmm What the fuck is up wth that terminology? "friendly Fire" that sounds more like playing some non-lethal paintball....i hardly call getting lethally shot..by Bullets "friendly Fire"

"hey asshat you shot me!!" "dude relax man its all Friendly :D"

Perhaps change it to "ALLIED FIRE" and not this friendly non-sense...

  • @gorlist187 it's called blue on blue, friendly fire is a media term

  • my mother when we saw a documentary on him she first said he was hansom .then she found out he was an athiest and she insulted him.at the same time me.in my opinion god is not great he is a lazy coward

  • @drunkcookiemonster Good for you speaking up. The truth has set you free and maybe someday your mom will too.

  • He didn't die for nothing. He died for his country.

Dude should be punished for being a dumb-ass. I'm pretty sure being a dumb-ass is behaviour unbecoming of an officer.

  • all religons make me throw up all religions make me sick all religions suck

  • @ufotruth100 Even Jainism?

  • If anyone thinks god is real then there thick as shit.

  • @Mee551able Agreed

  • 'There is an acknowledgement...' -- Basically, they didn't give a shit. Nice.

    The poor family....

  • Worm dirt....What a dick! He was jealous of Tillman fame....Typical brainwashed "Jelly-Head"

  • Really!? How backwards USA is? In The FFL religion never meant anything. Just look the Foreign Legions Honor code. What about the Jews then? They do not believe in many things the christians beleieve. Do People really get killed by their fellow soldiers just because U are an atheist? That's just sick. I do apologize, but I can not compute this kind of stupidity. If this presents USA, then I just despise everything U say U stand for. Read the fckn constitution.

  • Sits down, gets bag of popcorn, watches apes throw poo at each other. "no no, keep going, this is great"

  • No he wont because he is a non exsistant dont give a shit fairy tale

  • @berrywoke You make this too easy my friend...

  • well, no one wants to talk about friendly fire because it is bad for morale and PR.

Its similar to when somebody's mom runs over some kid at a school, people aren't really gonna do much unless there is some kind of obvious gross negligence, which is not easy to prove.

You can also equate it to any other work fatality.

And in all cases, when people start rocking the boat, justifiably or not, other people are gonna respond negatively.

  • Atheist,Agnostics and humanist we must stand together. It is a war on rational thought a decay of civil liberties and human understanding. I beg you, look to your friend and say I know where the truth lays. It lays in ignorance. We must admit we don't know the truth. The fact that we don't know what the truth is will be the best part of life. "Experience"

  • Lou Dobbs puts himself in the EXACT same position of the accused ARMY officer. When did media puppets become judges???

  • The vitriol and profanity expressed herein is a remarkable display of fear and ignorance. There are two kinds of unbelievers. Those that have not studied the Bible and those that have read the Bible but did not understand. Some of the remarks actually enforce what the Bible says about the End Times. The day is coming when people will be murdered and their only crime is profession of faith in Christ. Terrible times are ahead in fascist America.

  • @aubreyfarmer there are actually three types atleast then..i would be of the third type. i have read the bible,i do understand all of the raping, killing first borns, incest, genocide etc.. and i understand that god is a jealous god. so as of now,i am glad that it is just a story made up by old men..and that only the sheep still follow this old horror book. but,if it turned out the god of the bible is real? i would proudly turn my back to him and burn..i cannot worship something less than me...

  • @xfactorb25222 If you truly believe that the Bible is just a made up story then clearly you have done little research on the matter.Reading the Bible hardly make you a scholar in the subject. So what do you think about all the rape, murder, incest genocide now?Have you ever even studied the word jealous in the Bible and what it means? No, you just read it and decided that you are your own moral compass like the rest of the world.I guess your actions will only be accountable to you. Scary.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 as far as doing little research..maybe you should do some yourself..the jesus myth.you know born of a virgin, three wisemen, cruciFICTION and resurrection, performing miracles, walking on water..water to wine etc..already been done alot times.. way before ole' jesus..your religion is a plagiarism and evolution of pagan religions,nothing..and not understanding jealous?? what's the first commandment?? seems like jealousy huh?ranks above child molestation..oh yeah not one of them huh?

  • Honestly I have a hard time following what U R writing. If U research into many textual scholars, they all confirm the validity of the Bible. If you consider the number of Bible available and how far they date back, they are considered by atheistic scholars to be 99% accurate. That is better than any works in antiquity. Not sure what other gods you reference to having the same "life".There R 2 types jealousy, protecting Ur spouse from other people& the other is envy.1 is good, 1 is bad, take a guess

  • @JnThreesixteen1 and lastly good christian, some of us don't need the threat of fear to be good, you just are a good person for the reward of being one..not because you fear death and want an afterlife,or you are scared of a hell...pat tillman was one of these people...you are one of the sheep. so for the sake of the ignorant as yourself..i thank myths to keep you blackhearted, carrot hunting retards in check...AMEN.

  • Interesting that you have figured me out like that from UTube postings.I try my best to be honorable b/c of my understanding of God, His Son & the Gospel. And, I fail miserably at times.I don't claim to be better than anyone.I am thankfully a sheep and Christ is the Shepard. My prayer is that some day U can understand this.

  • @xfactorb25222 first I find it ridiculously offensive for you to be calling christians "retards." I understand that some of us judge others harshly (even though it is not our place) and give christianity a bad reputation. Don't blame christianity for the problems of the human race, blame people. I'm sorry that some of us can be overbearing and harsh, but I hope you can understand that from the standpoint of a relatively openminded christian, your generalizations don't help your case and hurt

  • @justinandbrian4evr I agree with you that calling christians "retards" is offensive and in most cases untrue, but I still believe that if religion didn't exist, the world would be a hell of a lot better place.

  • What happens to an atheist when they die if there is a God and a Jesus Christ a Heaven and a Hell? The atheist perishes in Hell fire. Both body and soul are destroyed and not writhing in agony for eternity. If one is saved by faith through grace and repentance of sin, washed in the blood of the Lamb of God, then through God's mercy those saved will be rewarded with eternal life of perfect health basking in the Glory of the Creator. Virtue is the Christians reward and eternal life the gift.

  • @aubreyfarmer Shut the fuck up, don't tell me whats going to happen to me, I DONT GIVE A FUCK what you believe, but when you start telling me that I'm gonna burn in hell and that I'm a terrible person because of my lack of religious faith. You're an absolutely biggoted assface.

  • @aubreyfarmer And what happens to an theist if they are believing the wrong faith? They will perish in hellfire. I am proud of being Atheist.

  • @aubreyfarmer I could say the samething about you. What if another god exist that isn't yours, who is okay with disbelief, but not okay with worshipping a false god? You never considered that, ever, have you? Don't answer, I know the normal christian response. Your god is immoral. Considering what you call sin. I could double park a car or lie during WW2 to keep a family safe, and god will use that as his reason to send me to hell. I know theres a christian out there that believes that.

  • "Lackluster investigation" Whitewash is a better description. The only point of view we ever get is the propaganda coming from Zionist controlled main stream news outlets. Give the dumb ass crowds "bread and circus". The appearance of normality and law must constantly be beat into our heads while the world is quickly falling apart and those with the responsibility of enforcing the law are tripping over themselves to protect the criminals.Unable to make rational decisions in our own interest.

  • you all are retarded. the video isn't about atheism, it's about the pieces of shit who disgraced Pat Tillmans family by suggesting that not believing in God is the reason they wouldn't give up on investigating the truth of the matter of his death by fratricide. Simply for a family being the only ones to have the courage to investigate the matter of Pat Tillmans death despite the bullshit is remarkable. My advice to all of you, watch 'The Tillman Story' if you would like to find out the truth

  • @jehayes42 If you don't believe in God then there is no moral code.It there is no moral code then there is no right or wrong/Good or evil.If no evil, then there is no way to disgrace anything to do with the Tillman family.Their own beliefs render his life as alive, now dead. That is it. If anyone attaches anything else then they are borrowing from the world view of a theist. So, why all the fuss?

  • @JnThreesixteen1 oh yes because you really need god to have a moral code. i can say for certain what's right and what's wrong. see i don't think i can take moral beliefs from a god that wiped out the world because he made a mistake and blames mankind. or a god that sees no problem with slaughtering the first born children of egypt. or who supports slavery and sexism and homophobia. sorry, but your god is the last place i'd go for morals if i even believed in him

  • Right, b/c atheist have been so upright & morally adept throughout the ages.U take examples from the Bible out of context for Ur own purpose, old tactic.Sexuality is as sacred to Christians as race, why would you de-sacralize sexuality.U only know of a moral world b/c U were born into it.Go live in a country that is godless and anarchy and let me know how it is.You have the option to snub your nose at God, I hope you look into it more.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 Didn't take anything out of context. Your god hardened pharaoh's heart to make a point. Your supposedly infallible god created a being that would later rebel and then let said being into what he claimed was a paradise and then when *shockingly* things go to shit he blames his creation instead of being responsible for his faults. I know my morals because i have my own code. Really name one person that killed in the name of Atheism and communism doesn't equal atheism.

  • U know just enough 2B dangerous w very little understanding of choice and God's purpose for His people.Seems it is Ur heart that is hardened & would not change even if U came face 2 face w Jesus Himself.2 get us 2 freely love Him, He had 2 give us choice 2 do that.Otherwise it would B forced. If U have kids U will understand this.So U want an example but only under Ur rules. If U think that atheist don't kill in their own name or in the name of something else, then we can't have a competent conver

  • @JnThreesixteen1 People don't kill the name of atheism. People kill in the name of religion, race, sexual orientation, political views, but not atheism. Sure someone could kill in their own name and those people are called serial killers. Hey if Jesus actually appeared in front of me and could prove beyond a shadow of doubt that he was real and had all this power i could believe in god. See the difference between us is that i actually require some evidence that can be tested for my understanding

  • If U R a true atheist then we R just random protons and electrons that live & die w no meaning or consequence, right? If this is so, why R U so concerned with killing in the name of anything? There is no evil N an atheist world view. When people have killed in the name of Christianity, it was an abomination of what Christ taught and, it was wrong.U should study DNA and the simple cell, if that isn't proof that God exists then nothing can persuade you.Science will fail U when it comes 2 knowing all

  • @JnThreesixteen1

You're a fucking embarrassment to humanity. The vast majority of Biologists are atheists and they study cells for a living, you twat.

Get a real education. Maybe try reading Dawkins' theories behind the evolution of morality to see why we care and occupy a smaller prison population percentage.

Science can work toward knowing more, but Christianity doesn't and will never explain a damn thing about our existence.

  • @Parabol0086That is an interesting statement, I guess U R showing Ur own value with such powerful words.U must either be a pre-pubescent boy or bitter old man.Have a coke and a smile and get 8 hugs a day.

Dawkins is a joke and a pitful philospher that my 10 year old daughter could dismantle in 10 min.Why not ask your boy Anthony Flew some questions and stop trolling the Tube.Have a nice day.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

When has Dawkins claimed to be a philosopher? Not sure how you could fuck up what I said so badly. This planet is plagued by morons. Spelling you "u" and you call me a pre-pubescent boy.

Millions of atheists that have gone to the grave atheists and you pick one convert as though it means something. It doesn't mean Christianity makes any more sense because Flew converted and he didn't think that Yahweh or Allah made sense. He was a Deist.

Get an education before talking shit.

  • Parabol I guess it is true what they say, Scientist R poor philosophers. If what one says about God or ANYTHING else is not logically sound, then it is fairy taled opinion &anyone can say anything they want.

Have "U" notice how contentious& angry U R?Have U ever asked Urself why?Why U hate people that R theist. If U R Ur own god & R a true elitist, shouldn't U have more compassion 2 help others B better rather than cutting them down 2 shreds.Flew still believes N "God" no matter how U will slice it

  • @JnThreesixteen1

Flew didn't believe the bullshit you believe, so quoting him is pretty pointless to your argument. "Still believes" yet he died last year. Hmm.

Do you actually think that I'm just constantly angry in my life? I assure you stupidity annoys me, which is what's happening here. Yes I get annoyed when a retard claims they know what all atheists think and say dumb shit like- "...a true atheist then we R just random protons and electrons that live & die w no meaning or consequence".

  • @ParabolAt some point all your preachers (Harris, Dawkins and Shermer (who continually get embarrassed by Craig, Zacharias and Ramsden) will get tired of using their atheism for big business & this "religion" U have will be empty.Seems U R educated so I'd spend a bit more time on Moral Law giver, Cosmological and Teleological argument for a while.Let me know if that helps. And remember, U can either be bitter or better, it is only 1 vowel different.I wont B responding anymore, I C no point.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

Of course you don't have to watch this video, but this epitomised my view of Christianity/Catholicism. If you want to know my stance (which I came to before seeing this video), this is it in a nutshell.

    watch?v=AcO4TnrskE0

  • @Parabol0086 To be honest, when i first read your intial response to my comment i was very offended, and i became "proud" and arrogant. It is that very pride i work hard against which here i have failed.I have been confrontational and insulting to you and that is wrong, nothing of a representative for which i believe.I apologize for my replies b/c I do respect you as a person and your opinion.I am sorry for the way Christians are, it is an abomination of Christ. We do the best we can, & fail.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

We are all human and make mistakes. I make mistakes daily. The only problem that I had was being told what I was supposed to be thinking (though not directly). Obviously I said things here that I would never say in person, it's the nature of the beast that is the internet. A sense of humanity is lost here and I apologise.

The only thing to take away from this is atheists can be moral without religion & we do care as we feel this is our only chance to enjoy an existence.

  • @Parabol0086 I take that away too: my hope is to never tell anyone what to believe.I do enjoy a good conversation about it too and to be educated.I don't doubt that atheist are moral, so of my best friends are and I know them well.We debate, cuss and are still standing side by side.It isn't my role to condemn, only discuss and we do our best. Take care my friend, for you can't really know someone, unless you battle them and i am a better man knowing you. :-)

  • @JnThreesixteen1

As bad a rap as internet debates get, sometimes you do get some joy out of them. Glad to here you like to discuss the topic with friends, it's healthy sign that our species is thinking and not just stuck watching Kim K on Entertainment Tonight...

Peace mate, and God bless ;-)

  • @Parabol0086 I knowU may C me as pathetic or weak& that I use Christ as a crutch &that is okay, i am willing to admit that i actually us Christ as the whole hospital4 my weakness.I will walk through fire4 my faith, family &friends period.Christians typically are a poor rep. 4 Christ, I hope some day you can see God and Him in place of our complete failure to represent Him. I hope the best for you, I would say pray but do not want to offend anymore. You have made me think alot & I appreciate it

  • @JnThreesixteen1 I feel so sorry for your child...

  • @berrywoke Well thank you for your concern, if you are worried about her growing up in such a mentally challenged household, you could always donate for her college fund. I would be happy to add in your name. Also, you just might want someone to read your posts before you hit the button, it is hard to read your sentence structure or some of the words you write. I realize you being the self proclaimed mental giant that you are it may be rhetorical but thought i would give it a shot.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 Well you failed again sorry! Your beliefs are disgusting and you intellect is boreing me. Stop begging for money you can put your own offspring through school. I am in no need of proof reading Im only talking to thiest Idiots.....

  • @JnThreesixteen1 "If U R a true atheist then we R just random protons and electrons that live & die w no meaning or consequence, right?"

No, that's nihilism. Atheism and nihilism are not the same thing.

  • @Yesman812 If you think there 2 aren't related, they you must consider yourself to be a soft atheist that borrows your world view from theist. Take a stand and make a choice, you can't play it safe on the fence forever.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 get back to school lad ,stop embarressing your family.

  • @kram83au If there is 1 thing atheist on UTube R great at, it is insults or expletives. At least U only resorted patrionizing & alluding to my family "name".By the way, it's embarrassing with an a, not e, which is fairly embarrassing in itself.Maybe U should offer some evidence to support your flimsy religion and pitiful preachers like Harris and Dawkins. They R very uneducated philosophers.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 faith, ''belief without evidence, oh the virtue. lol

  • @kram83au Stephen Hawkin "believes" M-Theory and gravity created the universe with zero evidence. LOL; might want to get your understanding about what you believe and what you can prove as science is a poor religion.Unless being your own demi-god you can add a touch of realism and make up the rest. Then i would say you are spot on.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 it really is tool time here. hey mr self deceiver ,i applaude your dogmatic stance. take a bow champ.

  • @kram83au Wow, you've pretty much displayed your awesome level of knowledge and grammar. i am done with this conversation, I can learn nothing from you. Troll somewhere else.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 get back here you self deceiver, we love you. your nonsense is far superior to the truth. talking snakes ,donkeys, slavery, genocide, rape, pimping,[see abraham]. great stuff

  • @JnThreesixteen1

"zero evidence"... Hawking has plenty of evidence for M-Theory...

OH WAIT YOU THOUGHT EVIDENCE MEANS YOU HAVE TO "SEE" IT WITH YOUR TWO EYES?

Ok... So I guess the Earth is not spinning. I mean, you are not getting dizzy, right? Also, it is impossible to "see" the Earth spinning... So it must be standing still!

THEREFORE THE EARTH DOES NOT SPIN ON AN AXIS. NO EVIDENCE FOR THIS. LOL

Also, the Earth must be flat because it looks flat. Round Earth? LOL Lies.

  • @MegaSensimilla how come when a scientist is guessing it is called a theory but if there is any mysteries from the Bible then it is heresy.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

    "it is heresy..."

There is no such thing as "heresy" in science.

There is either evidence, bad evidence, or no evidence for something.

Simple. Please try to understand this.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 And the christian belif will fail you when it comes to knowing anything at all!!

  • @berrywoke I assume you will be counting on science to answer all of your questions. You might want to consult with some scientist on that as to how that goes for them?

  • @JnThreesixteen1 this is why i find "some" religious people, you are definitely one by the way..seriously some of the worst people of the human race.what's "scary".?..let me guess,i'm going to burn in hell...the hell that was told to you by your parents, which also happens to be the god that was decided for you by your geograhical upbringing?? you realize that telling me i'm going to hell..scares me the exact same as saying i'm going to be eaten by a unicorn, because i don't believe in mythology

  • I actually never said you would be doing anything, especially Hell.U have the choice to chose God or not chose Him.If U chose Urself, then U will live w only Urself for eternity. But U have that choice to make, & U will live w others who have made the same choice.Hell was never intended for humans, only the angels that rebelled. As long as U understand, U get the privilege to turn Ur back on God.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 Many Colobian and Mexican drug Cartel member's believe in god. Are they moral?

  • Rayman Absolutely not; you can believe in God and be completely amoral. There have been to many things done in the name of Christ that were awful. And, they were abominations of the religion. But that is my point, how do you know that the drug cartel is bad, only if you have an understanding of good.Atheist don't believe in good or evil, life just is and then you are worm dirt, that is your/their "world view".IF you start to say what is good or bad, you borrow the world view of a theist.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 You are really mentally challenged Im sorry.

  • @berrywoke Well thank you for your vigorous analysis on my mental faculties. If it is one thing i can always count on YouTube, it is all the supportive, positive feedback.Sometime, maybe you could offer some empirical data to claim or support something rather than add criticism? Just a suggestion

  • @JnThreesixteen1 "empirical data to claim or support something..." Sure, once you supply some empirical data to support the Christian contention that man can: 1. Walk on water 2. Turn sticks into snakes with magic 3. Split the Red Sea so people can cross it 4. Raise people from the dead 5. Talk to bushes that burn but don't actually burn 6. Live in the belly of a whale for 3 days (my favorite one) 7. Turn into a pillar of salt 8. etc...
  • @MegaSensimilla When you have actually done some work on disproving the Bible is accurate and valid then I will defend those actual occurences.Study all the textual critics against the Bible, its number of volumes compared to Alex the Great, Socrates, Illiad.Eye witness accounts and others then write it off.Otherwise, you are part of the problem and not solution.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

"disproving the Bible is accurate and valid..."

So... you believe people can walk on water, turn sticks into snakes, etc?

That's ok. I believe fairies sprinkle pixie dust onto flowers to make baby flowers!

    "Eye witness accounts..."

There are ZERO eye witness accounts of each of the examples I listed for you in my previous comment.

    Nice try, though.

  • @MegaSensimilla Be clear Mega, if Christ Himself appeared in front of you, you still wouldn't believe in Him.Nothing will change your mind, not even if it heads you in your hardened heart.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

What the heck are you talking about?

IF a man name "Jesus" came up to me and showed me he can walk on water, sure I'll believe him...

Too bad he hasn't done anything like that yet.

Let me ask you, why have you hardened your heart towards Buddha?

  • @MegaSensimilla I don't know how you can look at the human body and not know there is a God, that baffles me. If you truly knew what it takes to create the ability for us to banter back in forth, you would change your tune.

Who says I've hardened my heart to Buddha, like the TEACHING of Buddha, it is not a religion. He never intended to be prayed to.There isn't enough data to support he even existed. You can't compare the two.

  • @JnThreesixteen1

"how you can look at the human body and not know there is a God."

I don't know how you can look at something complex and just automatically assume it must be magic.

Ancient people used to think "blind" people were actually being punished by the gods.

Now, science has shown us that blindness is not "magic" from the "gods" but that it is a medical condition caused by physical trauma or genetics.

"God of the Gaps" is when your "god" simply fills the "gaps" of knowledge.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 "There isn't enough data to support he even existed."

THere is more data to support the existence of Buddha than there is for Jesus of Nazareth. WAY MORE... Btw, I'm not buddhist.

"how you can look at the human body and not know there is a God."

I don't know how you can look at something complex and just automatically assume it must be magic.

Ancient people used to think "blind" people were actually being punished by the gods.

Science shows us this is simply untrue.

  • @MegaSensimilla Most people believe in the existence of Jesus of Nazareth (even Einstein). What you should be asking yourself is whether he was the son of god or not.

  • @Fred17819 Yeah you are very smart. Einstein as I do believe that Jesus exsited as historical person. That does not mean that Einstein believed in god. He actually said that he didn't believe. Check his autobiography moron. And Read your bible a bit more " every human is created as a reflection of god". I just can't understand your train of thought, if there is one.

  • @Adamson11x Look, I never said Einstein believed in God, I just said that he believed that a man named Jesus of Nazareth existed. I'm trying to communicate to you that believing in Jesus as the Messiah is a personal thing. And why would you quote that, that has nothing to do with this conversation.

  • @Fred17819

    "even Einstein"...

The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.

EINSTEIN in a letter to philosopher Eric Gutkind, January 3, 1954

  • @MegaSensimilla - He also said, "In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views" He considered himself a type of pantheist.

  • @A86

Yes, I'm aware of his admiration for Spinoza.

I tend to share in Einstein's view, but he was very adamant about not believing in an anthropomorphic deity.

  • @MegaSensimilla - I share similar views with Einstein. I'm ignostic but if I'm pressed on what I would view as "god" of any sort I might classify myself as a pantheist, panentheist or pandeist (undecided on which of those I would stick with, I may never fully agree with any particular one). Don't have much respect for most religions except for the more philosophical and introspective traditions that doesn't rely on literalism and fundamentalism.

  • @MegaSensimilla - I think it's possible that anthropomorphic "deities" might exist, but if they do I believe they're probably either just advanced aliens or lifeforms from some another dimension or another plane of reality (maybe people or creatures from some of those other possible 8 dimensions in "String Theory"). I doubt that such a being would be responsible for the creation of the universe though.

  • @A86

If this creature is not responsible for the creation of the universe, then I would hardly classify them as a "deity".

Multiverse theory is very interesting, but highly conjectural. Should be taken with a grain of salt.

  • @MegaSensimilla - Something doesn't have to create the universe to be a deity. That's the monotheist definition of "god". In most religions there are hundreds or even millions of gods that are basically just forms of life more intelligent, more powerful or much longer-lived than humans. Like Greek and Roman 'mythologies'. Those would also classify as deities, just simply not of the Abrahamic variety. Though polytheists might consider Abrahamic angels "deities".

  • @A86

Right, I understand your point but I say that they are hardly deities because they are so anthropomorphically realized that it is basically impossible to take them seriously.

  • @JnThreesixteen1 Buddhists are atheists.

  • @Fred17819 If they are atheist, then why do they pray?

  • @JnThreesixteen1 Buddhists do not believe in a deity. What they do is not actually prayer. Meditation is not prayer.

  • @Fred17819 We are discussing the same point and I agree with you, my in-laws are Buddhist and the tell me they pray ardently every day.Just goes to show you how imprinted on our heart it is to pray, even when no God exists.I read the rebuttals you've written and appreciate what you try to do,I try the same thing. And, what I've seen is, "education" w/o relationship is fruitless.

  • @Fred17819

Buddha emphasized the primacy of individual practice and experience. He said that supplication to gods or deities was not necessary. Nevertheless, today many lay people in East Asian countries pray to the Buddha in ways that resemble Western prayer—asking for intervention and offering devotion.

  • Wouldnt it be grand if someone actually defined God as our Intelligence? Oh wait a minute, that is in the Good Book when you read it as an aithiest, while knowing who the poet was who wrote both the Old an d New Testaments, and the person the Jesus charachter mimicked. Most Theologeans are conformed to peer pressure for the invisible God club, even John; something says; No Man has seen god Ever, does that means anything within how most persons dont know how to read between the lines and think?

  • It does say we Trust In God" on the federal reserves money, who's God is that? And why and who are these persons in the senate and congress praying to rather than doing what is right for the people in this country who don't have better job opportunities because the gov/ wallstreet sold out small businesses with any and all corp despotism and dilutions of commodities and consumer goods, like walmart, home depot, the banks, if any afterlife exists you find out any truth when you die

  • Comment removed

  • Who are these persons who actually think that any mere "belief" has any physical merit for any moral code of ethics? Havent these persons ever read the good book properly knowing that the only concept for god would be consciousness? Who says we arent being conformed to symbols? Any law has no moral basis, its all an ideology. Science is the only answer anyone might consider reading more philosophy and maybe come to some sort of agreement so we may get America on track with reality,

  • I'm not trying to bias or sarcastic or anything, but out of all of the religious related cases that happens in the US Armed Forces why is it that most of it happens to Army servicemen/servicewomen?

  • @XxGameadickxX Most populated.

  • What a piece of shit. There are good officers and there are bad ones. That Lt. Col is a bad one. Pat Tillman was a brave one.

  • What a moron. So Tillman's family is trying to get to the bottom of Pat's death and find out what happened to him, and that makes them "not at peace"? What he seems to be telling them is to stop asking questions and just get over it. If his kid died under mysterious circumstances would he not want it to be investigated?

  • Fuck that colonel. I hope he gets fragged. Pat Tillman died (by friendly fire) bravely serving his country when he didn't have to. He had a good career in the NFL but he joined the army instead. He was a great man and that loser should be ashamed of himself for shitting on the memory and beliefs of Tillman.

  • Dionysus rules you all; want a drink?

  • i have read the bible, not as a believer in the book but research and other things. i oculdn't help but think to myself as i was reading it, it's abasically a law book. to keep the local citizens under control.. don't you see that? it wasn't governed by a god and no god came to speak to any body on a fucking mountain. its like if i went off into the woods and came out claiming god spoke to me and he gave me a list of shit for you to do. don't you see the illogic? the madness?

  • also, 6630mcdo you are obviously not knowledgeable in what your religion is teaching you. read the bible cover to cover and then maybe you'll snap to common sense and realize it's all bullshit.

  • @thompson8305 There is only about 1 in a million that hate the bible. But millions that hate what they believe the bible claims. The certain theme of the bible is 'God's mercy towards mankind.' Oh, fools, that are deceiving themselves will soon enough see the truth!

  • @thompson8305 I was tempted to call you a fool, but it is wrong. No, “If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished." Praise the God! You act as if it was allowing beating the slaves! Slaves in Israel were nothing more than servants, equal to someone today owning debt like for cars, student loans, or credit cards. Isn't great that people helped other pay it off?

  • @6630mcdo yeah...but it is allowing the master to beat his slave or servant whatever you want to call it. if you think people slavery is a good system to pay off a debt than good for you... just remind me not to borrow anything from you. read the entire exodus 21 and understand it isn't about repaying fucking debts.

  • @thompson8305 No, it is not. It is making it a crime! To compare, it would be like saying giving life sentence for murder is allowing murder! Well, Americans are now thrown in jail now for not paying debts. At least back then, the people were kind and moral.

  • @thompson8305 God is the best explanation of the universe. If you found alien tools on the back of the moon, you would not need to know where the aliens came from to see the tools were made from intelligent design. Logic is superior to science. Whatever the answer, it must be logical. Metaphysics states being only comes from being. Nothing comes from non-being.

  • @thompson8305 Many misunderstand God in the bible. God ordered the Israelis to drive out the Canaanites of the land of Israel because of their wickedness. They were murdering their children. Cutting babies and toddler's hearts out slowing with spoon-like rocks. Raping daughters, toddlers, boys, etc., etc for their gods. God saw their evil. He ordered the Jews to drive out (not genocide, just drive out of the land, so they lost all power). Only men were shown to be killed & only those who stayed

  • @thompson8305 Who are you to judge the mind of God? Second, quite judging people as only this life exists. God as the author of all life can take or give at His will. Even though no children were killed, even if so, they would have gone straight to heaven and no grown up in an evil culture. Those people were pagans of false gods and atheists.

  • @6630mcdo this is ridiculous. i'm not going to continue this argument with you. have you read the bible? cover to cover? probably not. until then, please, try not to kill anyone.

  • @thompson8305 I've read must of the bible. Have you read it cover to cover? It is not even in chronological order. I know the bible more than most people. Ignorant people have so many misunderstandings.

  • @6630mcdo WHo are you to Judge the mind of God?....You seem to be claiming to be aware of God's will. I notice that God shares all the same Biases as his followers.

  • @6630mcdo and to answer your ridiculous question about the universe coming from nothing... i never said it just happened...i believe there wasn't an actual creator involved in the process. why does it need to be intelligent design? because it's so complex you cant understand anything else or the simple theory that it just simply happened? i don't know how we got here or how the universe began, i wasn't there. i'm not ignorant enough though to settle on the fact a god was responsible.

  • @thompson8305 u must believe it always existed. Infinities do not exist in reality. I assure you that universe could not have come from nothing. If you are thinking the universe came from something causation prior to the big bang, than you are only pushing the problem back a step. The science needs to be this: try to get something from nothing. It is simple! Do scientists ever work out a problem by saying 'okay, we know all the variables. Oh, let's add the 'nothing makes everything part!'

  • @6630mcdo you are assuming you know my beliefs and seem very confident in how the universe began as if you were there. i'm not saying it came from nothing. i don't think it was designed by a god or whatever. science doesn't do that, however, they also don't just sit back and claim god did it without any proof.

  • @thompson8305 Aww, but there are reasons and arguments for God. You are assuming there are no arguments. And, 'we don't know' is faith (in science) regardless of what you think.

  • @6630mcdo 'there are 'reasons and arguments for god''-please enlighten us!

  • @Flash13Magic Premise 1: Whatever BEGINS to exist has a cause. P2: The universe began to exist. C: Therefore, the universe has a cause. The cause must be timeless, immaterial and spaceless. To state that matter, time and space created time, matter and space is stupid and circular. All contingent beings require a cause. Infinities do not exist in reality. If time were infinite, today never would have come. Dr. Hilbert's Hotel proved this - greatest mathematician of the 20th Century.

  • @6630mcdo you have given zero evidence for the existence of a god, scientist openly admit when they don't know something, you seem to have all the answers without the need for evidence.

  • @Flash13Magic Then you need to state which premise you disagree with. If the premises are true, the conclusion follows logically and inescapable whether you like it or not. So what premise do you disagree with? Logic is evidence. Logic is superior to science. Science requires logic be true for science to work. What premise do you disagree with?

  • @6630mcdo we don't know how the universe came to exist,it could be that it is constantly expanding and contracting, but how is it logical to assume that a god did it?also which god does it point to?after all there are thousands, what i disagree with is your entire premise,it is a composition fallacy.

  • @Flash13Magic Well, I know how the universe came about. You are correct: you don't. All models like the bouncing universe models fail. First, it doesn't explain how time, matter and space came from nothing. Second, such universes would need an almost infinite fine-tuning to exist. Which God? I told you the cause MUST be timeless, immaterial and spaceless. There are only two gods that fit those conditions. It is very logical to conclude God created the universe. Because....

  • @6630mcdo you don't know how the universe came into existence nobody does.these models don't explain these things but neither can you, again science can openly admit when it doesn't know something, religious lunatics like yourself actually think they know everything already.''Second, such universes would need an almost infinite fine-tuning to exist.''why does it need infinite fine tuning?

  • @Flash13Magic (con't) Because since the universe CAME into existence, the cause freely chose to create it. Therefore, the cause is also personal. The only personal things we know in existence are 'minds'. Now, state which premise you disagree with and explain why.

  • @6630mcdo ''he cause freely chose to create it. Therefore, the cause is also personal. ''where did you come up with that?personal?why?because you exists?after 13.7billion years you came into existence and suddenly this 'god' must be personal?i told you why i disagree your premise is a composition fallacy.oh and you can't back any of your bullshit up with any sort of facts only your assumptions.now which personal imaginary friend is it you believe in?

  • @Flash13Magic No, for a being to create something not existing prior it must freely choose to create it. I've already explain the error in your composition statement. Also, there is no evidence for such a claim, even if it were a physical law, not a metaphysical claim. Not all claims of composite are invalid. There are very narrow list of statements that go into the composition fallacy. Wish you well - good luck. I'm surprised at atheists must deny so much logic to hold their view.

  • @Flash13Magic I believe you think the Kalam Argument (casual) argument is a composition fallacy, correct? This is a very common mistake thinking of the Law of Causality as a physical law. It is a metaphysical law that states 'being only comes from being.' Is it not very logical? Non-being has no properties, no potentiality, no powers, etc. Non-being producing being is worse than magic. So, it certainly appears to the universe. Science requires the cause and effect principle to be valid and true.

  • @Flash13Magic For the universe to bounce from contracting and expanding, cosmologists state the inflation of the universe requires more tuning than the current fine-tuning of our universe, namely 1/10^123. I believe the odds are 10^500. Logic is superior to science - don't forget. Your ad hominem attacks only verify the weakness of your arguments. I've never meet an athiest who does not use them. And, I don't talk with such people.

  • @6630mcdo i haven't made any argument at all,i simply asked you which god you believe in?i see no point in talking about the origin of the universe because nobody knows how it happened,i'm not so arrogant as to believe i know the answer when the worlds most intelligent people do not know the answer.you do know the answer using (irony) science to prove your point when in the same breath you ridicule science.

  • @Flash13Magic Whatever SCIENCE might find must be logical. here are far more brilliant Christian scientists than atheists that believe God created the universe like Newton. I did not attack science. I merely state the truth that logic is superior to science. Sure science can be weird but it is logical. And, the only logical option is God. The options of universe from nothing and always existing is illogical. Theists don't know the physics of the cause you cannot infer they do not know the cause.

  • @6630mcdo far more brilliant scientists who are christian?please name them!Newton was not privileged enough to have lived in a time where evolution was known and i'm sure if he did he would have seen the idiocy of religion.you believe in a god,you therefore must use the evidence he gave you to believe in him,the bible.if your holy book cannot be used as evidence for you gods existence how can anything else even be considered as evidence?

  • @Flash13Magic the bible is a farcry for evidence. think mormon... any idiot running in the woods or on top a mountain and comes back down with a book claiming to be the word of god with no other proof or any other witness does not constitute as evidence. 6630mcdo has absolutley no evidence to back his claims. if he is on a personal level with god to get such information than this guy is the new fuckin prophet in town. to bad he has no case though.

  • @6630mcdo The vast majority of scientists NOW are atheists. Naming scientists from 400 years ago doesn't do you any good.

  • @ninjajesus81 Vast majority? Now, the minority! In America, 31.2% of scientists are atheists. Now, worldwide brings it down to 12% of scientists are atheists. Therefore, vast majority are NOW theists. If you were using that to support your atheism, shouldn't you be a theist now??? Think logically. I'm an engineer and physicist. I'm a Catholic. Before I was stating the VAST majority of top scientists were Christians.

  • @6630mcdo Those are completely made up stats.

And if every scientist in the world was a theist, I'd still be an atheist. Their beliefs have no effect on mine.

And the higher up you go in the hierarchy of science, those scientists are less and less religious. You're a liar.

  • @ninjajesus81 Where's your source?? SOURCE: Elaine Ecklund, and Christopher Scheitle questioned 2,198 faculty members in the disciplines of physics, chemistry, biology, sociology, economics, political science, and psychology from 21 elite U.S. research universities.4 Overall, 75% of professors contacted completed the survey. Among the different disciplines, disbelief in the existence of God was not correlated with any particular area of expertise:

Disbelief in God by Academics4 Discipline%

  • @6630mcdo Type in "nature leading scientists still reject god" into Google and click on the first result.

And your study surveyed professors, not scientists.

Nothing new here, just another dishonest creationist. You people need to get some morals.

  • @ninjajesus81 See, you can find ONE poll that finds in atheists favor. Just like the gays used to say 10% of men were gay....when truth was 1% were gay. The vast majority of polls believe in God. Second, my poll proved you were dishonest in claiming 'the higher ups' were more atheists. I've spoken with 50+ atheists. They are all (except 1) dishonest, illogical, angry, hateful, rude, etc. This is very telling into someone's character. Without knowing and praying, humans have characters of atheists

  • @6630mcdo You found ONE poll, and your poll wasn't a poll of scientists, it was a poll of professors. Did you not catch that the first time I said it?

Your poll didn't prove anything. It didn't poll the top scientists, so what are you talking about? Mine did. Are you crazy?

And don't bother bringing up your personal history with atheists, because I can pull up prison stats of Christians who dominate the prison population.

Atheists are mean? Fine, at least they're not criminals.

  • @ninjajesus81 Did you catch that you were wrong that 'the higher ups' are more atheistic?? You believe what you want...you don't listen to reality...you 'believe' in your faith

  • @6630mcdo Prove it. You posted a poll that is irrelevant to what we're talking about. Post one that's relevant.
