  • give me a copy of this!!!

  • Hi. Can you tell us where to get that app? We have QT installed, but need that app. Thank you

  • What device was it demonstrated on?

  • Nice work dude....keep it coming man....

  • What an ugly pile of crap!

  • HOW DID YOU GET IT??????

this is amazing is there a chance u can share this to us?

  • interesting...

  • lol that shit was wack time for nokia to move on to something like maemo! my poor omnia i8910 hd is being held back by that stupid BS symbian OS

  • bigv1 i couldnt agree more, the amount of power in that i8910 is rediculous!

i would say the only TRUE feature that it lacks has got to be multitouch, other than that it would possibly be the best phone to date!

  • Awesome !!

  • @LYNX132 its not... its actually pretty real. this is a ui based on the qt framework by nokia itself... what i want to say its official so no hack or something. you should do more research before posting

  • OMG !!!!!

  • can you please please please post the sis to test it

  • can you post the sis?

  • Wow! What lagg??? Please!! That is what Nokia5800 interface should look like.

  • Hi, This shows what can be done with a modern UI framework such as Qt on top of Symbian OS: impressive !! What components of Qt did you use for this demo : Qt Animation framework ? Qt Graphics view ?

  • download?)

  • so impressive work for a third party developer! Bravo!

  • nice work. thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing it live on a proper device.

  • I'd say that for a tech demo Qt UI made by a third party developer, it runs quite well.

  • lol copy much? They copied androids basic layout, Sony Ericsson Racheal UI, and even samsungs crappy OS...

    true innovation?

    Good looking though

  • agreed. it looks too much like a frankenstein's monster of interfaces. A bit laggy too. Me no likey.

  • The lag is simply the graphical demand running on a Nokia S60 5th Edition device that has NO hardware acceleration: That is the issue that the base Symbian-Foundation hardware TI OMAP3430 will solve in devices launched using Symbian^2 onward will resolve. :D

  • it,s seems only a demo for show in the Devdays, i hope in this qt interface, after all this open all the posibilities people wait for nokia 5800.

    Excuse my english xD

  • I don't think Nolkia is going to release this for 5800xm... Simply because they're fool and don't care about who owns a 5800! :-(

  • I think, this UI should have ben included from the start on nokia5800xm, but it's not to late about it.

It's lagging a bit, but not much, so next nokia XM is going to be with 600Mhz CPU for sure, and the winner is NOKIA!

  • I think the Symbian platform has A LOT more potential now that Nokia's embracing QT. If more Symbian developers embrace it, we can have a lot more quality applications, not to mention prettier interfaces like this one. I wonder what the overhead on this kind of interface is like....

  • Very cool

  • where do we can find that?????????????

  • wooow - that is so cool

    great work guys!!

  • WOW hard work good going guys its very cool :)

  • looks like the Maemo with the multiple desktops, I think Symbian is going to impress us like Maemo when it's finished =)

  • So, can Qt be released for S60 and 5800??Does it worth buying s60 devices right now or not?Someone who knows plz answer...Or it is for future Symbian OS??

  • yes, QT could run in S60/v5 or v3

  • It already runs on S60. You can download development version and install it on your phone. you can also start developing Qt applications.

  • can you give me that homescreen app please
