For the first couple years of my life all i flew was northwest, my mother was a flight attendant with them for almost 20 years. shortly after Christmas last year, i flew on delta, out of Tampa, it brought back so many memories; however i really do like what delta has done, the in-flight service has been nothing but great. i will always have a soft spot in my heart for northwest airlines. the people of northwest who are under the name Delta will keep the NWA spirit alive for many years to come.

This video was so beautiful it made me cry, quite unexpectedly. Northwest hired me at PDX in 2007, where I now work for Delta. I'm sure we loaded this particular aircraft a number of times. I'm so glad I was able to be a part of such a great company through its final years.

I have to say that in TPA, we received a great crowd of workers. Our prior NW workers are awesome. So glad they became a part of the Delta team. We're probably the first station that combined work groups. Nervous at first, but we're all one big happy family now. Now if we can just get this union vote out of the way we will finally be one big family. Union or no Union, we have a great team of workers!

And to clarify.....Delta did NOT buy NWA. DL didnt have the cash for a cup of coffee. They merged the two airlines to basically save Delta from another bankruptcy or liquidation.

I was there when National Airlines flew its last flight. I know how these loyal employees of NW - "The Red Tail" feel. Shame that President Carter deregulated the industry...God's speed to all! To bad that Delta bought them. They did not treat PanAm employees very well - another one of their acquisitions.
