@supersonicultraforce Well, it has a scripting engine which allows you to pretty much do anything in it. This video doesn't really show what ARMA2 is really about as it's just us driving some cars about. The freedom in the editor allows for it though.

You can take part in various battles in many different ways. Some of you involve you commanding AI into battles with other AI (or players) and some involve you being on the frontline. Be it infantry, armoured vehicles or air support. All possible!

@supersonicultraforce Not quite.You have the option to watch battles from a distance. the reason you see so many videos of that is because it's cool to watch from a distance. This video features a roleplaying mod for online play where players can (as you can see) be cops or civilians. You do get to participate in many battles in different versions of the game. You can fly jets, planes, tanks, cars, tractors, everything. Its usually not crazy battles like you'd see in MW2 or BFBC2 but they're fun

I am an infantryman in the army and everything in arma is accurate to include the op orders, the order of movement, firepower, etc.. Bohemia makes the army's virtual training simulators too such as the VBIED and convoy scenarios.

At moments it sounds like the sirens have the Doppler effect as they pass each other.. if so then that is incredible lol. probably not though.. that would be too in depth.. On a note more related to the video, that was pretty dumb to assume she wouldnt just get back into the car when the area was officer free..

@RadiantStudios Yeh, the doppler effect is present. It is in ArmA as well. Some sirens you can hear it well, others not so well.

The reason I decided to let the woman have a chance of getting away was so I had more footage for the video lol. It kinda lasted less than a minute before the incident at the fire station building.
