I'm trying to interpret the video and lyrics. To me it says that life is fueled by sex and violence and that despite those very powerful things, you have to do your best to be true to yourself and try your best even if it upsets people. What do you guys think?

I don't like little league sports. Back when my brother wrestled, his coach heard a kid on thier team being told by his mother "You better take this guy out or when we get home, I'll take you out" and so the coach cut him from the team.

@digitalpiggy-Sometimes you need to be pushed to the edge to realize just how strong you are. I've been there. Life is too short to sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Everyone had a messed up childhood. Every family has problems. Every life has it's ups and downs. If you aren't willing to work through that, then you don't know the value of life. People misunderstand this song. The chorus says if you give up, you're the problem. This isn't a poor pitiful me song, this is an I'm going to kick life in the teeth song. Take responsibility for your actions and problems. If you can't handle that, take Steve's advice. It's your only option.

Suicide is NEVER the option. You are semi-right, one should take responsibility for what they do, but suicide is not an option. A lot of good people have lost their lives to themselves because no one was there to help them. So, honestly, I must say to you, that if you are (inadvertently (i hope)) telling people to kill themselves, the you should go home, find a 16 foot rod of cast iron with a spike on it, and FUCK YOURSELF!!! um yea natural selection in human society= nazi germany and like 1870's american economy with social darwinism n all that crap. natural selection is just that, NATURAL. it ONLY pertains to death by natural causes, such as being eaten by a predator or not finding food to survive. we as humans r NOT natural, we have cars, we have tv's, i dont see the hyena's sitting around a computer listening to staind anytime soon. dont try 2coax people into suicide cause ur a freakin turd -_-.

I don't like little league sports. When my brother was in wrestling, one of his team mates mother was mean about things. She told him to take his opponent out or she would take him out one time, and I don't think it's right when parents are like that about their kids and sports. The coach heard her tell him this and had the kid quit wrestling all together. I don't know what happened after that.
