I got the Lifehunt Scythe on my pyro playthrough (one that I was playing mostly hollow) and finally got it upgraded to +5... I think it's safe to say this is my favorite weapon. Before I got it, pvp was just a huge pain, but after invading for a while in the forest (Red sign soapstone) I learned enough to be competent. The dashing R1, followed by two R2 swings is devastating if you can catch someone. I love the moveset, damage, and bleed of this weapon.

@XSmexyLamaX As long as it's currently in your left hand. You can dual hand the scythe and still gain the bonus, but the shield needs to be what's in your left hand before you start dual handing.
my pvp build is a chaos estoc +5 and a chaos bandit knife/ parrying dagger with hornet ring. i use the 2hand estoc and try not to go for pivotstabs... but when i see someone either TWoP me, flask, or have phantoms ganking me i turn into the bad guy and 1hit b-stab them
@LegendaryRath it think balls to use magic lol though it hits hard its so easy to dodge you always get punished for using magic though especially seeing how most good mage's die in one hit

@EmptyClipszENT scythes scale with dexterity. the higher you raise dex, the more damage you will do. At a certain point you will no longer benefit from raising dex or str but you will need to have 40 points before that happens.

I'm surprised you didn't talk about any of the backstabbing muff diving... I feel so burnt out, i made a level 45 person with intent on invading, if it's not already 3v1 I get backstabbed all the time. :[ I guess it's easier to not if you have a lifehunt scythe.
@LegendaryRath at the last death, one of her orbs hit you at 11:13, and she was using the strongest magic boosts, and 1 orb normally does k0 you, look closely.
how much dex do you have? i`m using this build for pvp and i have a lightning iato to kill other mobs but i guess dex build is underpowered in dark souls

This is Dark Souls. The game is designed for invasions. It's called an INVASION for a reason, and I'm going to kill whoever bows to me. It's not cheap, it's YOUR fault for bowing.
Invaders can't heal themselves, and you can have 2 phantoms with you, so it's not cheap. If you die it's your fault.
And magic is a lot more gimpy in Dark Souls than it was in Demon's Souls (I didn't even consider magic in DeS overpowered like most did).
@ExecutionerSmough89 my endurance is somewhere from 50-55 in this video. I usually use the blood ring that you can get from the guy under the first bell of awakening. I'm not sure if I was using it in this video. It's a good idea to use the blood shield that you get from the painted world of ariamis if you are using the lifehunt scythe
Yep, you beat me to it. I have a int/endurance build character and I often use crystal soul mass, on pvp. My attack landed and did no damage, I backed up a bit, once I raised my staff the second time, I heard an explosion, my opponent then died out of nowhere. I noticed PVP lags extremely badly with force, the dark hand and the soul mass spells
Again....7.15: 'douchey' way of doing it? wtf. The result is just the same - you get a match. That's some dumb logic. Does not compute and you obviously never PvP'd in demon's souls...

Especially at the designated pvp area, which this is, there isn't one. Did you jump people 'invading' in 4-1 at SL 120 in DS? If you did, you were a total scrub.

@agb3535 Indeed! I have to admit, a bow user with a darkwood grain ring can destroy anything with a slower/heavy weapon. I might try using a bow out sometime.

@XSmexyLamaX As long as it's currently in your left hand. You can dual hand the scythe and still gain the bonus, but the shield needs to be what's in your left hand before you start dual handing.

I think you died because a soul arrow hit's you on the back (11:15) you roll at the same time over the edge and then the death animation started.

Also, the game gives you the tools, if you don't use them it's your fault. Magic is not cheap, invasions are not cheap.
Although TWoP WAS a bit broken, it has been fixed in the recent patches. :)
