You are assuming the rich would pay the same ammount as everyone else. I am just saying they should pay the same percentage.....if I make twice as much as you then I would still pay twice as much in taxes. But to go from 10% to 33% is just wrong. Second the savings wouldn't be passed to the consumer, that is what competition is good for. The savings would allow me to hire more people which creates more spending, more tax revenue, and a better economy...everyone wins.
Finally I actually agree with you on something. I would say 80% of the government figures are corrupt in one way or another. We need to stop government programs and reduce taxes so people can let supply and demand determine where their money goes. No more big no-bid contracts in Iraq, or $30M for rats in San Fransisco.
reducing taxes FOR THE POOR (& working class) is a great idea. but the rich don't even PAY taxes most of the time, so we need to buckle down on them. reducing taxes all across the board is not a good idea. mega-corporations and rich people should have to give back. those fuckers make more money than god, after all.
the law of supply and demand will not solve our economic woes. it will only lead to less pay for workers, cheaper products, more corners cut, and more human rights infractions.
I think we should reduce taxes for the poor and rich alike. As a business owner, lower taxes would allow me to reduce prices. With reduced prices I could sell more stuff and I would be able to hire more people.
Wealthy people have more money then you because they work harder and save their money. They don't have huge debt and fancy cars like the middle class. Rather than work hard to get more, most people will just bitch because others have more.
