  • i would have been so pissed if i was that truck driver....

  • guy in truck:

"oh come on dont stop here! FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

  • the poor guy at the crossing must've been cursing like mad when the train stopped in front of him

  • full speed ahead!!!

  • No blue flag? Why dident they lock out the track if they worken? FRA fine!

  • @scamtrack This is Canada not the US. No FRA. They did lock out the track but after releasing it they just made a stupid error and equipment obviously did not clear.

  • i'd say its a commuter train, it has a flat front like most passenger trains

  • That's a hell of a form W....

  • Nailed it!

  • Was anyone injured?

  • oh badass

  • wow I didnt know that 0MPH can bee so fast :P

  • the speedswing is a pretty heavy piece of equipment both the train and the speed swing took a beating im sure

  • 0:17 that guy officially shit himself.

  • 0 miles per hour ?? riiigghhhtt..

  • I KNOW there was a Form-B.....

  • that guy standing there had to be like OH SH$T!!!

  • dumb asses is all i have to say

  • I think this video is why MOW crews have to warn trains that EVERYONE is in the clear.

  • @claimless They weren't MOW, they were a street crew.

  • @Espeelover Lol. Dumbasses.

  • I wonder what the equipment looked like after the impact

  • In Soviet Russia, you hit train!

  • it didnt take as long as it should have to slow that train down usa=ually it takes like 3 to 4 minutes to slow a train down because of inertia.

  • @RockerDudeAbram2013

very short consist - stopped pretty quickly.

  • I bet the people at that crossing were pissed!

  • Poor bulldozer. (LOL)

  • The piece of equipment that got hit is known as a speedswing.

  • @oldstumpcutter

    Roger that - thanks

    david

  • @oldstumpcutter or a back hoe

  • boom

  • Why you shouldn't talk and construct.

  • And remember this kids, play with BIG trains and you'll get hurt!!! BIG time.

  • Damn!! Locomotive always win. From SW-1 to SD-90MACS, they will always win (except a gas tanker or concrete mixer)

  • oh here we go again, I watched this vid a few months ago, an every1 was arguing about what type of loader n what type of train, only now the type has changed, every 1 has the same shit 2 say..." oh i worked on trains 4 so many yrs" or "i work for bullshit construction so i know what the fuck im on about"...u all sound like kids in kindy talkin bout who has a better truck. When ur all 14 yr old fags talkin crap.

  • @defiant18 u mad

  • At least the brakes still work fine.

  • Ouch! He hit that loader right at the counter weights where its nice and solid...its probably safe to say the operator suffered a neck injury.

  • im surprised it didnt derail.

  • @imthepatton that loader weighs nothing compared to a unit. its like a truck crashing into a kids bike.

  • @Bluestarcinema Well.....to some extent you are right. But if you take a piece of equipment weighing several tons there is always the chance that the locomotive may be lifted just enough to derail. (Or the locomotive drives the equipment into the track and spreads gauge. Derailments have been caused by collisions with much lighter equipment.

  • @imthepatton I'm not...

  • how silly. :-D

  • Comment removed

  • How is "that guy" a dick? Trust me, he didn't want to stop there, but once you hit the emergency brakes you become a passenger, nothing else to do, and considering he just hit a Construction Truck I don't think he had the time to think "Ahhhh, I see a pickup here, I'll just wait to stop until I get past him"

  • wow i dont even remember when i put that comment it doesnt even make sence to me anymore

  • did that guy in that truck thingy that got hit survive

  • yes

  • legal, gostei kkkkkkkkkkkk

  • was the train a metra?

  • Earlier, in the comments, someone supplied this information:

it was in sounder cabcar #306. But it was a BNSF crew

  • why a bnsf crew in a sounder?

  • good question...

  • Sounder contracts with BNSF to operate their trains, All Sounder trains are operated by BNSF crews.

  • wow

    that is weird

  • It's West Coast Express, not Sounder.

  • no fatalities

  • DID IT WENT DERAIL

  • E'thing stayed on the rail.

  • Wow, that was interesting.

  • well, i would be happy to. YOU were ridding a passenger train that struck a car in signaled territory. the auto driver, either failed to adhear to or drove around the gates. drivers fault. plain and simple. not to mention,...that in the state of NC it is state law that "anything affixed to two rails has the absolute Right of Way" over anything on the roadway. (part one)

  • now part two, in this vid,...we have a crossing collision that involves MOW crews and "conditional" stop signs,...AND and MOW supervisor to oversee. this now throws the shadow of doubt on the traincrew,....not the motorgrader operator. its apples and oranges. see the difference? now.....who is at fault in this vid? dont know,...doesnt matter. BUT...my point is....the two scenarios you described are clearly not the same.

  • in other words...the train crew had absolutley not culpability and did nothing wrong. OK.

  • not even similar.

  • Sorry, I couldn't tell if it derailed the train a little bit from the video. How did you get access to this type of stuff?

  • On this case, no - the train remains on the rail. Once we hit a car and the engine block rolled under one of the traction motors and derailed that engine truck (axle). Can happen.

Get access, how? The 'related video' box is as good a way as any, I'd think?

  • Oh, thanks for informing me.

  • Did the train derail at all, even a little bit?

  • Correct, it's CP.

  • yeowch!

  • its not a stop sign, it's a red board, it signifies the beginning of a FormB (Men and Equiptment). The crew had permission through the restriction but the Track foreman made the mistake of prematurely letting the train enter the limits and the track gang didn't have enough time to clear

  • ok, good. glad its not the train crews fault. thats good.

stop board, conditional stop sign,...all the same thing. just depends on the RR. csx calls it a conditional stop sign. everybodys termanology is slightly different. varies a bit from RR to RR. still means the same thing.

  • yip, at 3 seconds look on either side of both main tracks. you will see a conditional stop board. red. they are temp signs put up to protect MOW employees. i should know,...i had the same thing happen to me last year. i busted a conditional stop sign last oct. at 49mph with 2 engines and 2 cars. went 2600 feet past it. i got fired for 30 days. didnt hit anything. damn things are almost imposible to see in bad weather. look at the speed, and the fog. thats why my RR doenst allow them.

  • damn skippy bud aint ya glad i showed you this? lol

  • hell yes

  • If you didn't hit anything, how'd your employer even know? Did the MOW employees turn you in? Or did they review camera tape?

  • in my case? well,...a MOW supervisor was trackside. so we got fucked. LOL but its all good. it ended well, and im still working. so its all good.

  • he ran a conditional stop sign!

  • Fault lies with the equipment operator, who thought (wrongly) he had more time to clear up... and with the foreman who gave the train clearance before the equipment was totally in the clear.

  • yip human error man itll kill you if you aint careful

  • Track equipment fails to clear in time as in the description or train blew by the Form Y restriction? Note the passing of the red flag at 3 seconds.

  • It wasnt BNSF or Sounder.... It was a West Coast Express trainset, cab car leading, on the CPR in the Lower Mainland of BC.

The CP crew was working there, and had a rule 42 in effect. The foreman had cleared the train through after machine the operators had reported back that they were "in the clear". The operator thought the train was not this close. As you can see, it was on a tight curve with little sightlines ahead.

  • Id love to know where the tractor ended up??

  • you can see debris flying at 18 and 19 seconds.

  • LOL! the bell came off, just listin it went from "ding ding ding ding" to "clank clank clank clank" lol! stupid ass BNSF crew lol

  • it was in sounder cabcar #306. But it was a BNSF crew

  • One problem sounder dosent have cameras on their trains they just upgraded to digital destination signs like mettrolink it will be 30 years before they get taxpayers to pay for cameras.

  • This is West Coast Express in Canada.

  • holy shit!

  • What train is this?

  • sorry, don't know...

  • wow....good job bnsf.

  • HAHA LOL

  • that sounds like an F59 right?

  • don't know that, either - sorry

  • No, it is a cabcar, look at the windshield wiper.

  • Bombardier Bilevel Cab Car.
