I found out that X-ray laserradiation do the same thing to the air that 1,046 nm laser was doing to it - think logical: Microwave would pass through the object, like X-ray was doing - so if you scale 1,046 nm to X-ray, it would be 5.4 nanometer - I have tried it before - only this time, brighter.

Nice breakdown plasma. I work in the are of plasma spectroscopy and yes, it IS a plasma. No, the laser does not get damaged, as the plasma "mirror" is very weak and not uniform. It is quite safe to look into plasma (I do it every day) as long as one does not stare into it all day long ;-) It emitts UV radiation and white light due to recombination and Bremsstrahlung (breaking radiation like in an X-ray tube).

If it is really plasma,the laser must be very powerful,and this situation is dangerous for the laser itself,because the beam can be reflected on the "plasma mirror"(the ionized air has a different density)and come back to the laser breaking it.The holograms are a totally different thing.I think the blue spot could be a reflection of IR ray from the pumping diode,which in most cameras appear just like that.

No, the air was "popping" in front of me. I could see and hear it. Air plasmas by focusing lasers have been done since the 70's apparently. It was about 400mJ in ~10ns pulse. That's 40MW..
