I didn't even know Korn had released a new album last month. Kind of sad, really. These guys had a time in place in the history of music in which they were doing things nobody had ever done before.

But that's the way of things. Styles come and go. Doesn't make what they did any less remarkable.

old school korn listener here.(94-99). I was at the prime age of 13 when the nu'-metal scene was at its peak back in 00/01 and never grew out of it. Call it living in the past but that music era shaped who i am today and as a musician, im a passionate drummer. David Silveria, Abe Cunningham, Jose Pasillas, John Dolmayan, and (ill throw this one in here too) Danny Carey inspired my style of playing back then, and still do since i listen to all the stuff that was popular 10, 12 years ago.

You HAVE to respect that. Hold on to those first few albums, but Jonathan's life is worth way more than simply good music....

SYOTOS and untitled sounds nothin like Life is Peachy, korn, or follow the leader, but tht duznt mean they suck. head n david left so thats ganna change how songs are written and how they sound so that should be obviouse. i agree korn is my fav band from the day i heard em in 95 to this day but its such a shame knowin how much better SYOTOS and untitled couldve been with head and david. i mean cmon heads album sounds more like the korn everybody knows than untitled did besides the lyrics. they realy need to come through on this next album or they just mite lose most of the fans that r still around besides the hardcore ones, which i am one

@headbanger3630 also. Korn was innovative because of their original sound. Great melodies/screams in the vocals, dissonant/driving guitars(possible becuase of the dual guitarists) and the FUNK inspired drum/bass beats. They have lost a lot of that and thus have lost what made them Korn.

I agree dude. This was definitely thier most aggressive album in my opinion right beside Untouchables. Life Is Peachy was great dude. The musical force in that album defined korn. The Bungle chords, the wierdness. All the effects munky used, the angst in JD's yelling, The rawness of fieldy's bass, Silvira's intense drumming. That album was incredible.
