  • Lazaro is always happy to have new people to come and learn what danza is all about, the steps, and everything else that comes with it, the regalia is expensive but he works with you, you could always help him to make your traje, support is always there, we all help each-other it is at cypress park, in Los Angeles, near highland park or glassel park, if it's any help, Monday's and Fridays are the practices and from 7:30 to 9 hope to see you there!

  • @MurguiaBelen I am sorry if I offended you. I hope we can all as wombyn see the positive in all especially that Aida is opening up this artform in a new modern way for all to see.

  • @MurguiaBelen Okey then are you offering a open invitation? When and where? CAN ANYONE show up and dance? Where can we buy the dresses? One big thing is that Aida's outfits are simple sexy and do not cost that much. Some of us are struggling artists and we cant pay alot of money BUT all of us need to support each other SOMEHOW. I am learning something new everyday. ONE LUV!

  • i wish i could join you, i am from Kaqchiquel mayan decent, but i dont know about places where i can learn about the culture besides back at Sacatepequez,Guatemala. it such a tragic thing

  • heyy um im doing a danza like this next year i wuz wondering were i could get like umm....idk 15 to 25 outfitz lol thnkz:)i would apreciate if yuhh responded:)

  • The dancers actually get a message to you. They are not just "hopping" to and fro. They are elegant and communicate with their movement. That is DANCE!

Good job Danzantes. None of us, in any race, have perfect ancestors. I know my first reaction to Aztec Dance was, "what! human sacrifice." But this aint' what the dance is about today. Is about remembering where we come from. Lovely pirouettes ladies. Good job!

  • This does my ansestors proud!

  • I really liked it how can I invite you to my event ???

For the Day of the Dead ....

  • LAZARO ARVIZU capitan de respeto siempre,,!!!

  • Please watch my AZTEC dance video from Los Angeles too. Thank you very mucho! @Fresno_Famous on Twitter

  • Why is it that danzantes ALWAYS want to wear huge fucking headresses? I mean, there is absolutely no humility. It's an exaggerated sense of greatness. Are you saying you are a ruler or a head warrior? Talk about arrogance!

  • @OmeCoatl323 talk about been disrespectful .... Is not about what u wear or not as a danzante is the respect you have for our ancient Danza...

  • @OmeCoatl323 As aztec dancers, we do not think of ourselves as neither rulers nor head warriors. By tradition, you are supposed to start dancing with one feather, and work your way up to more. The use of these "huge fucking headdresses" gives the audience a sense of our own story, on how we have progressed and chosen to share the stories of our ancestors with everyone. You are no one to judge, especially when you know nothing of our culture. Talk about ignorance!

  • @OmeCoatl323 The huge head piece is just part of the dancer's desire to perform. Have you ever seen a Las Vegas show girl? There headpieces are 6 feet tall sometimes. Dance and art is exaggerated. I mean why stand in front of people and move with tiny movements in everyday clothes and say, "I am now dancing." The costumes are that...costumes! And to me all those feathers mean some bird somewhere is dead. That is all those big feathers mean to me. Other than they are pretty for a costume.
