I just called Dept. of Vital Records of New Mexico. The original BC is not available to me or to anyone. They do NOT issue long forms because NM is a "closed document state."

Each county in each state of the US keeps the long form BC on record. The parents can request and receive a short form BC to use as proof of birth for their children. Some counties will allow you, under certain circumstances, to get a copy of the long form, but never the actual document itself. The vast majority of Americans have never even seen their long form BCs. I know I haven't seen mine, or any of the ones for my 4 children.

No, abrook, you are wrong. Obama was born in Honolulu, a fact which has been confirmed by the State of Hawaii. Maya has a COLB despite being born in Indonesia due to a change in the Hawaiian law in 1982. When she moved back to Hawaii in the mid-80s, her mother applied for one for her. Before '82, however, a child born outside of Hawaii would have received a Certification of Foreign Birth, not a COLB. His mom didn't need to convey citizenship. He had it from birth.

Not only that but you will see the announcements from the local newspapers from 1961 of his birth in Hawaii. This issue has long been debunked. Actually there is a great video on YouTube examining the authenticity of his birth certificate. There are 4 major issues:
1.) artifact pixels around many of the letters
2.) the border and seal do not match the year of the certificate
3.) all paper documents are tri-folded when mailed, but there is only 1 fold line
4.) the raised seal only shows up with image-enhancement. An official, embossed seal should not need any such modification.
It's a GOOD forgery, but still a forgery.

I am not supporting the subversion of the Constitution; I'm upholding it. In 1961, a child born outside the US to Hawaiian parents would have received a Certification of Foreign Birth, not a COLB. The law did not change until 1982, which is how his halfsister Maya received a COLB when she returned to Hawaii in the mid-80s. This is the law in Hawaii and it takes less than 5 minutes to find this all online. If you cared about the truth rather than your lies, you would know this.

I was born in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. For those of you who are poor in geography - New Mexico is a state of the US.
My birth certificate is not the original BC. I have no idea what the state or my mother did with it.
This new certificate has the state seal, but is not signed by any DR.
Furthermore, it is written in English and Spanish. When I go to Cancun, Customs sometimes has a hard time deciphering that I am a legitimate US citizen.
How many people have original BC's ?

You arew so right! I grew up in orphanages and group homes and have never seen my birth certificate long form, just the certificate of live birth. That certificate was enough to get my drivers licence and my passport which took me to 20 different countries on 4 continents.

Nope, until just recently a COLB certificate wasn't sufficient enough to work for the Hawaiian Homeland Defense. It's not accepted as proof to be allowed to work for the FBI. The state isn't being accused of falsifying records just mincing words. By the way, the state authorities with their minced word and curt statements aren't helping.
If you where born in a hospital in the United States in the 20th Century then you can bet the ranch that the records exist. I now mine do and I have a COLB.

I'm not making up shit, I said until recently the COLB wasn't enough to work for Hawaiian Homeland Security and it's not enough to work for the FBI. Furthermore it's not enough to prove that you are a native Hawaiian either. If you want to claim Hawaiian ethnicity the authorities demand a long form to trace your lineage with.

I just called Dept. of Vital Records of New Mexico. The original BC is not available to me or to anyone. They do NOT issue long forms because NM is a "closed document state."
I don't care that a state minces words - they know that whatever they say will be taken apart by the loonies and the media so they just answer the ?'s with facts and nothing else.
Sorry, but this is a waste of time issue.
Our country has other problems that need more attention.

I went to the town I was born in for a copy of my COLB and I saw the binder that contained my long form from which the COLB is derived from. If you challenged New Mexico under the freedom of information act they would have to cave.

In addition, the FBI accepts all legaly recognized birth certificates. they do the investigation in house because some states do not release the long form. they, the FBI,recognize that any certified birth certificate is a legal form of identification.

Each county in each state of the US keeps the long form BC on record. The parents can request and receive a short form BC to use as proof of birth for their children. Some counties will allow you, under certain circumstances, to get a copy of the long form, but never the actual document itself. The vast majority of Americans have never even seen their long form BCs. I know I haven't seen mine, or any of the ones for my 4 children.
