  • Absolutely amazing! thanks so much for sharing..!!!

  • Dude, your awesome. nuff said.

  • I REALLY like your piano style; I just worry about the effect your posture will have on your back in the long term :/

  • Errrm, at least act like this is hard to play? Please?

    This is just too unbelievable.

  • I enjoyed your playing very much but what u said moved me even deeper. Right now i'm working with teenagers in a "summer" camp in Berlin (its raining every day) and i can agree with u about what u'r saying.

Thanks for existing ;) and doing what u'r doing, and how ;), ppl like u are the proof that there's still hope :)

    U KICK ASS!!!

  • 4 people who disliked this video are GREEEEEEN with envy

  • needs less damnper pedel...other than that it is quite good

  • @McGhostluvin Hey man, why don't you show us how?

  • @nchannon1984 I dont play jazz or boogie woogie type music. im a classical musician, but if you like i can post a vid of me playing if you like, ill be sure to mention ur name in the video so you know its me. but only if you honestly wanna hear it.

  • @McGhostluvin Hey, i'm nchannon1984 - stupid Google made me remake my acc... :-s, anyway I seen your piano vid - your playing is good (from my lowly knowledge of pianists) but that piano BLOWS!

Also, check out Luca's latest vid - Dr. Jam, now there's some REAL CLASS.

    Peace bro

P.S. I think you should drop the ghost vids, buy a good piano and post more piano vids.. :)

  • super well done!

  • Being able to play that obviously takes alot of practice. I have one question. How do you / did you keep yourself motivated and patient to actually go through it?

  • It is nice to see and hear you play, Thank your mom and dad every day. You could have ended up like some kids your age rideing skate boards and doing ollies while stoned out of your mind. You will go far in this world, all u have to do is keep looking forward and stay commeted to what you do and do so well. nothing but love to you man, nothing but love.

  • wow, slick back your hair and wear a suit and you're going to be a DASHING performer! thanks for the great performance!

im playing piano now for a lil while aswell ,, Hope i will get as good as you once ,, .

i really love your way off playing :D

  • BRAVO send me invitation for your next concert

  • Nice job, I want to learn to play this good, I only can play those simple ragtime solos and not perfectly. I got to get my chops up to play stride piano. Did you learn to stretch those tenths, or are your hands naturally big enough?

  • i liked everything except that you look at the camera all the time as if some1 needs to tell you your still good all the time

  • Pretty good.

  • I'd like to hear you play something classical if you have a teacher for that out of curiosity

  • Very nice!! I play and I have been working on my stride...sorry to hear that your school system is cheating kids out of their time to practice. Have you come to the U.S. as a foreign exchange student yet?

  • Very Fucking awesome !!!

    Ir russian it's - ahuet ))))

  • w.o.w.

  • Hey!

I particularly liked this piece. Please keep playing because you are wonderful. I hope to be seeing more videos that you post in the future.

  • Loved it.

  • #OMG U ROCK!!! amsterdaMcuLture in my REPUBLIC of ART!

  • Cool regtime!

  • you play very good :-) keep going on!

  • are there any books or online lessons or whatever that would help learn and master this genre like you did? I've been taking classical piano lessons for 8 years.

  • What's the title ? Did you compose it ? What do I have to know in order to compose like that ? What kind of background theory do I need to know ?

  • wow

  • Well this kid loves to advertise doesn't he? Lookin' for that big break that I am sure he will get but got enough videos posted on you tube

  • Fantastic! You really have a feel for this music.

Also, good work by the camera and audio person - adds to the pleasure of hearing you.

  • Awesome... How much do you Practice -lol ,Your Amazing...keep up the good work -You will be famous one day..Cheers

  • whats your secret

  • Oh my gosh what a cutie you are!Keep up the good work!Love to hear you play! You will be famous someday if you keep on!:D

  • Stressful life only comes to those who are stressed...Take it all in a stride Luca.

    You will go very far.

  • I loved it! I play, too, and I see that you roll your 10ths, too. My hands aren't wide enough to reach a tenth comfortably. Great work! You've got a natural talent. Keep it up.

  • you tellem , great protest.

  • Great work! Keep up the good work. I always wanted to play stride, boogie wooggie, and even ragtime, but I never made it past easy baroque music.

  • Freakin' sweet man!

  • Have you ever heard the George Gershwin piano rolls he made. You can buy the CD's of his music at "Amazon." When he played the piano he would trill the basses with his 5th and 1st fingers. You have to hear him to believe what effects he produced when he did this....The CD where he does this is called: "Gershwin plays Rhapsody in Blue." There are 14 other songs on the CD you will love. The other CD where he plays his longer piano pieces is called: "George Gershwin S'Wonderful."

  • That was brilliant! I hate comparing people to others, but your playing reminds me of Harry Connick, Jr. You are great. What a great CLEAN sound.

  • great job man!!

  • Amazing how yoy play the piano...!!!

  • I grew up with a stride playing next door neighbour... he played in big bands in the 20s... great guy, great music... listen to Otis Span, if you haven't... not the best flash, but my favourite bite with the keys... he was also Muddy Waters cousin and key player... go deep Lucas, go deep... the music is calling you... in know what that's about...

  • ★★★★★

    Wonderful son!!

  • Congratulation boy Luca. Go ahead.

Continue, don't stop your progress and

    your sucess.

Maestro J F Missali-New Orleans Jass Band. Brasil-See my piano boy Alexandre Hage.on Youtube. He loves JellyRollMorton. yeah!!!!

  • this is so cool and i love your smile!

  • Why is it that school systems in the US or abroad seem more dedicated to preventing learning than encouraging it? Children are our future, they deserve our best - not what we can spare.

  • Comment removed

  • @janegael Apparently Drone didn't read the comments at the end. I see his rude comment was removed. This kind of talent needs to be encouraged, not buried under a too stressful school system. Luca, you are lucky to have such amazing talent. Don't let the system beat you down.

  • That was fucking awesome

    Sie sind sehr talentiert

I wish my stride playing was up to your standard

  • Great playing!

  • Fantastic!!! Did you compose this or is there sheet music available?

  • first i thought that it's a video showing a stressed student playing the piano, and i was waiting to have a laugh. but hell i didn't see any stress. instead, i saw hands playing like water.

  • man, where do you learn to play that kind of music? it's BEAUTIFUL!!

    5 stars

  • I can feel in the beat of the music why this is called "Stressed Student's Stride" XD this is the kinda upbeat tempo I think of when my day gets hectic lol AWESOME 5stars *faves*

  • one day, you will have a shot, to make that damn education system perfect...

...well, at least I wish you so :)

  • You added an interesting dedication, but the fact is, that unless you really screw yourself up, you don't have to worry about school, because you have a gift from God. Please, continue to share it with us!

  • That was amazing!!!! Wow so young and so awesome!! You rule dude.

Do you like James P. Johnson? He was one of my favorite stride pianists.

  • is this of your own composition?

  • "You sir, are the greatist artist who has ever lived!"

    Haha, Spongebob quote.

Anyway, it's hard to derive the thought of stress from something as inspiring as this, but I do agree, that is quite pitiful.

  • that is an amazing talent u have there dude!!

  • Five stars. Period.

  • Love those high notes dude and the hoody, thanks. Any chance I could get a personalized Luca hoody?

  • my friend, youy have a gift.

  • talentierter bursche! weiter so!

  • this issss soooo nice! you are GOOD!! Awesome :D !!! (=

  • Nice dedication. Music and art are important. Kids need the chance. Here is a perfect example. Luca could be out getting high and stealing Bimmers for fun, but instead he's making videos of himself playing this great form of music. Some studies show that kids who learn to make music are better students. When I was a kid there was band, orchestra, chorus, and art, but I hear that's almost all gone away. Truly a loss for our future. And, of course, you're brilliant Herr Sestak.

  • hey there!

thanks for all your great comments!

    Luca

  • @luckyluca99

A solid classical foundation enables any other form of music to happen,

    with eease.

  • @tallnbig68 there's the argument to that point... a lot of teachers will say a classical trained style makes the playing too rigid and even, not jazz at all

  • Mais qui donc t'apprend-il à jouer comme ça toi???

    Tu peux me le dire?

    Ta progression est exponentielle !!!

  • i hear albert ammons, i hear no stride

  • this makes me SO HAPPY that a young man is taking up this great form of piano!!!

  • very good ill give you 5 stars

  • Oscar Peterson or Art Tatum would be proud. Your are fantastic.

  • Amazing!

May be, you are inheritor of Mozart or Chopin?!

    :)

  • This is fucking fantastic!

  • Wow, I could see people falling down after seeing you do this

  • Omfg, seriously, this is SMOKING!!!

  • oh my goodness...how do you play so unbelievably clean? great job!

  • years and years of practice :L i'd say he knew this song for at least a year :P

  • O.O

  • excellent master !:)

  • wow?!?

  • That was just GREAT. Thank for sharing

  • Really not stressed! ;)

  • Wie immer.....Ausgezeichnet!!

  • Das ist der Wahnsinn. 5*****

  • you have the devils hands

  • no HE HAS GOD'S HANDS !!! better this way ;)

  • Unglaublich gut !!

  • your fantastic -

  • Luca, bravo man. i loved when you started to let your right hand fly 50 seconds in

  • how do you coulor the chords in the left hand? do you use a lot of tenths?

  • i love how you have mastered all the technical parts of boogie woogie and manage to also play with emotion. awesome work. keep it up!

  • Your Left hand is about half Stride, you right hand is about one-fourth stride, the rest is just Boogie...And that wasn't fast or stride.

    I just can't overlook that.

  • I just can't overlook that!!!??? You sir, are strange.

  • I don't like false advertising. And i;m not the one using three exclamation and question-marks. But most people just incorrectly use a lot of question marks, at least you don't...Good day sir!

  • Sparkling with brilliance!

    My father would have cried.

  • all of your songs leave me speechless

i can't begin to describe the genius of your music

  • I wanna thank you all for your nice comments! Keep listening.

    Greetings

    Luca

  • You must have had one hell of a piano teacher, right? Axel Zwingenberger or something like that :D

  • for boogie woogie music I haven't got a teacher ;-) but for classical music

  • @luckyluca99 Can you be my teacher? Do you teach boogie woogie?

  • You tell me... we're not even allowed to use the school's piano... :-?? besides the pile of homework they give us... and imangine that i'm in my 11th grade :))

  • well, u u released my stress..ty

  • Comment removed

  • i want the music... (because i'm just not good enough to learn it by ear :'() Great work!

  • I listen to this EVERY day. Nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Greetings from the US. You have a HUGE fan here in Minnesota. KEEP IT UP!

  • I enjoy your music so much!

    Thank you again, Luca.

  • Great job! Remember, no matter how stressed you get -- Keep Smiling! We love that smile! As a self-employed translator with more work than ever I know how you can feel stressed from lack of time. But if you keep doing what you love and keep a smile on your face, life's a whole lot more enjoyable and you end up the winner -- in spite of all the folks who try to make you feel otherwise. Keep up the great work Luca! We love your music!

  • And you wrote this? OMG! America (who started this thing) has lost interest in it (except for me!) and you play it better than anyone I have heard - it has passion and emphasis where it belongs - KEEP GOING!

  • ...and don't make any mistakes either!

  • Lol Luca, great comparison.

    Hurry, hury, hurry!

  • Quite different from all your other videos. But i like this style also very much! Really outstanding. Nice composition.

  • Hi Luca. That was great. School can be stressfull but just remember school is only a small percentage of your life and the time will go fast. No matter what your aspirations and goals are in your life keep music an important part of it.

  • Awesome !!! x3

  • As always - a pleasure. OUTSTANDING!

  • Yeaah, you rock! I like your music and yours hands ;)

  • Wow, du hast den Rhythmus im Blut.! Da ist man einfach nur fassungs- und sprachlos... :o

  • wonderful !

  • VERY nice. Did I see a hint of a smile at 0:13? :-) Thanks again! Keep smiling! I appreciate your hard work and perseverance.

  • I hope you 'll continue to find time to practice and play.

  • Amazing!! Simply amazing!! 5 stars!! :) - Jonathon

  • Another very good video Luca. I always enjoy them.

  • Holy shit you've grown since your last video! lol Nice playing!

  • I really like your style. I watch other boogie woogie and blues pianists, but I keep coming back to you. Keep up the good work. You are outstanding! I really like the slow blues the way you play it, with so much feeling. Thanks for putting a smile in my day.

  • Great stuff Luca
